Hi,

barberfanatics.com

1) I am running into an issue with the search result that when I typed "promate" as a keyword for any of the product search, it does't show me anything unless the keyword is exactly the same. It does show up when I typed "pro-mate" and "pro mate", but how can I make the search result to show up with "promate" as well?

2) I am still experiencing issues with the product listing boxes page. Sometimes it aligns correctly and sometimes it doesn't. I have addressed this issue with the tech support here but nothing has resolved. Is there a way you can take over and make all the product boxes consistently? It looks very unprofessional and I have to get this done before the Labor Day Weekend!

Thanks,
Karen

Hi,

1. The search system doesn't support approximations. The approximations you see on search engines is only possible because they have a lot of data of people entering different searches, comparing them, processing them. It's not possible to do the same for a software like HikaShop unless integrating with such search system or developing a complex solution and in both cases, it's not cheap and takes a lot of time, and might requier specific third party software/libraries setup on the server, which is not possible in most of the cases.
Now, if it's only for some words that you want to do that and you know them, then it's easy. Create a custom field of the table "product" and of the type "text" via the menu Display>Custom fields and in the product, enter the different variants of that word. Then, edit the settings of the HikaShop Products search plugin and select that custom field column for the search so that it will also search in there.

2. We already gave you the answer in the other thread:
www.hikashop.com/forum/product-category-...-look-misplaced.html
Please don't duplicate questions as it increase the work for us.
If the solution doesn't work, it's because you're missing something in the way you applied it. For example, you edited the file for another view, or for another template. The solution provided about removing the data-consistencyheight=".hikashop_subcontainer" attribute from the listing_div view file of the product view definitely works. So please double check.

I am sorry but can you be more specific about the search solution?

About the product listing boxes, when I go to the listing_div under display view, it is blank.

How do I fix this?

Hi,

1. It should be a custom field of the table "product" as explained in my previous message, not "address". That can only be done with either the Essential or the Business edition. The column name and title of the custom field don't matter. It can be anything you want.

2. It looks like a problem of your WYSIWYG editor. Try deactivating the "code mirror" plugin via the Joomla plugins manager.

1. When I go to "custom field" to create a new "product" table, it only shows me "address". How do I change that?

Is there an option for a guest checkout on the essential version?

Hi,

1 - product custom fields are provided by commercial editions of HikaShop ; as written in the Nicolas message.

That can only be done with either the Essential or the Business edition.

2 - Yes, guest checkout is provided by commercial editions of HikaShop.
