Search module to search in all products all the time

Dear HikaShop,

We have a search bar on the center top of the web page but when we go inside a category, the search bar will only search in the category we're actually in. We'd like to search in the whole webshop at that point, even if we're in a second-third level category.

Is that possible with the built-in search filter? If not, can you suggest a search plugin that can do this with a results page?

Hi Nicolas,

The force redirect is turned on and I gave the menu ID 110 but didn't work. If it should redirect back to the main webshop category, then it doesn't work and stays on the same page. Also, we have an other filter in the left position containing specific filters for the products' properties. Both of them are refreshing if we're searching for something in the top search bar. Maybe there's some problem with that? Do you have any ideas how to solve this?

Hi nicolas,

I renamed the filter.php temporary and updated HikaShop as well to the latest version but still doesn't work. It seems that it just doesn't redirect back and shows results instantly (without any results).

Could you help what else could be wrong? I can also give you an access if you like.

FYI we had to downgrade to the previous version of HikaShop/Joomla installed because the latest one didn't solve the problem and we're near the deadline and there would be a lot of CSS and custom things to fix using the latest versions.

Hi nicolas,

This is a test website yet so you can freely edit all the files. We have daily backups of it as well so if something goes wrong we can easily restore anything if neccessary.
