Hi,

It's with great pleasure that we release today the first version of HikaAuction.
HikaAuction is a Joomla! Bidding component for the e-commerce solution HikaShop. It's quick to set up and will enable you to easily create, manage, and follow auctions on your shop. Your customers will bid for the product they want and the customer with the highest bid will win the auction.
You'll find more information about it here:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/3...-in-hikaauction.html
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/3...n-configuration.html
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/3...r-first-auction.html
And you can also purchase it here:
www.hikashop.com/extensions/hikaauction.html

Enjoy !

How about a demo? Would like to see both front- and backend, to evaluate the features.

Can we set bidding increments in intervals like $10 between 0 - 100, $50 between 100 - 1000 etc. ?
Will bids autoupdate on the page (no manuel refresh)?
Are there a user dashboard so the user can manage current bids, won auctions, payment etc?
Can we set start and end time?
Can we add a location to an auction?
Can we search for auction number, start/end time, location etc?
Can we define custom fields for an item? If so, are custom fields searchable?
Can a user set a max bid and have the system autobid when others are bidding until max bid is reached?
Can the system add a delay/extension to end time if there's bids just before end time?
Can a user follow an auction / get notified before the auction ends?
Can we export auction with winner details to csv/excel ?

So many questions, but most relevant for running a quality auction site.

Thanks

Hello,
The HikaAuction component will soon be installed on the demo website.

Can we set bidding increments in intervals like $10 between 0 - 100, $50 between 100 - 1000 etc. ?

No, the bidding increments is static for the moment, but that feature is actually planned for next versions of HikaAuction.

Will bids autoupdate on the page (no manuel refresh)?

The auction page will only be automatically refreshed when you bid, else you'll have to manually refresh for the moment, we also planned to add some AJAX code so that the page will always dynamically refreshed after every bid.

Can we search for auction number, start/end time, location etc?

That will depends on your search module, but you'll just have to search for and Hikashop products code/start&end time/...
Note that, this will be possible by using filters.

Can we define custom fields for an item? If so, are custom fields searchable?

Yes, auctions are Hikashop products, so you can use product custom fields, and then use Hikashop filters.

Can a user set a max bid and have the system autobid when others are bidding until max bid is reached?

Basically, if your auction starting price is $100 and your first customer bid is $200, your customer will be the auction winner until someone bid for more that $200.

Can the system add a delay/extension to end time if there's bids just before end time?

No, but you can manually extend the auction availability time by changing the "Available from/to" field through your auction product configuration page.

Can a user follow an auction / get notified before the auction ends?

There is no option to "follow" an auction for the moment, but every customers who bid at least once, will be automatically notified.

Can we export auction with winner details to csv/excel ?

For the moment there is no export option (into CSV) regarding auctions, but we actually have it on our todo list.

Thank you for your feedback, I just added some our your points on our todo list.

Thanks for answering every question.

You should really consider adding them all on your todo list :-) Seriously - they are key features for auction sites.

Autobid: if start price is $100 and user bids $200 (autobid), then the users first bid, should be the first price increment after $100. The system will then increase the bid when other users bid on the auction until the $200 is reached. If 2 or more users bid $200, then the first recorded bid is the winner. This is really key.

Delay on auction if new bids close to end - also a key function

Follow an auction - very important to remind users to bid on an auction before it closes

CSV (on todo list) - nice to have

Please read the Mohamed's message carefully :

It is already possible using a cron plugin.

Follow an auction

we can add it in the TODO list but it won't be implement in a short time.
