Hi Guys & Girls,

I have attempted to follow the HikaSubscription documentation and I have only been able to create a daily subscription that expires in 1 day. I have used the "Creation then Renewal" plan relation, but what happens is the subscription expires in one day without a recurring renewal.

How do I create automatically recurring plans? I want an automatic renewal after each expiry until further notice.

Hello,

By using "creation then renewal" (or "renewal or create"), HikaSubscription will ask HikaShop to use recurring payment method.
Thanks to paypal recurring, you can then create a recurring payment and let paypal renew the subscription automatically.
That is how you create recurring plan. There is nothing special to do.

If the recurring is not performed, then the subscription will expire. But your customer would be able to use the subscription interface to perform a manual renew, if you do authorize to renew after the expiration (within the specified range).

It's not working. My subscriptions expire after the term and don't renew. Can you please give detailed instructions with screenshots or examine what's wrong?

Hello,

The renewal is made by the payment system.
If you do not receive a paiement notification for renewal, it can't be renew automatically.

I'm afraid that I can't provide you explanations or details if I cannot understand the full and entire configuration/structuration.
There are hundred of possibilities !

Can you please give me an example for how to setup a monthly subscription recurring for one year? I need to know how to do it, I'm having trouble doing it.

Please guide me in detail with an example, I can't seem to do it myself. Is there a recurring payment plugin I need to activate?

Regarding your question:

I followed all the instructions in the tutorial, as I explained. However, it doesn't work. Here is my configuration attached.

The PayPal recurring is not working. Do I have to manually activate PayPal recurring?

I don't understand your question regarding your previous one.

Please configure the Paypal recurring payment plugin via the "new" button of the System>Payment methods menu if you want to have recurring payments.

I have found and activated the PayPal recurring plugin via Payment Methods as instructed. However, the same problem remains.

Can you please investigate my website? See attached for reference. None of my plans are recurring.

If you want us to understand the situation, you would have to provide screenshot of your configuration and details about the problem.
Since you had not any recurring payment plugin installed/configured, you couldn't use any recurrent payments (so there is no way than a subscription be renewed). Because I don't understand how you could confirm a recurring order without a recurring plugin and I'm not even sure that you're using the recurrent plugin to do so ; I can't tell you anything. I don't understand a thing, you do not provide a lot of explanations.
And in the case where you want me to have a look at your website, you know that I need some details to start, like a link to your test product ; so I could try to reproduce the issue.
But right now, with the current elements and details, please understand that you have to help me to help you.

Hello,

I'm sorry but it's still not possible to understand if you are right using "paypal recurring" during the checkout.
Please read carefully my previous message.

More than that, if you take a look at your subscription listing screenshot, you can see that only one subscription was really created (on 06/06), all other are just pending subscription where the order never been confirmed (otherwise you would have a start and an end date).

Since you just have one old subscription which haven't been renewed but you weren't using Paypal recurring that time (you activated the plugin several days afterwards) ; I don't have the impression that your issue is really the recurring.
Anyway, I do understand that you want to help and provide details but the paypal recurring screenshots are unfortunately not relevant with what I was asking you in my previous message.

Details of the problem:


Despite creating a subscription plan, one 1 day and another 1 month using "create then renewal", with the PayPal recurring plugin activated, all my subscriptions expire after the term, e.g. 1 day. There is no recurring.

I also notice that subscriptions are not confirmed despite being created. I made these purchases via PayPal, see attached.


I hope this will help you assist me, please let me know if you require any more information. Thank you.

Your order never been confirmed, never been paid.
So your subscription never been active.
That's sure that they won't be renew since they are not paid.

Hello,

I made a test account in your website and your website do not propose the "paypal recurring" method.
Since it's "paypal classical" which is proposed during the checkout ; the recurring is not possible and that's why you do not have the automatic renewal.
So, it would mean that your configuration has changed OR that you applied a patch (from another forum thread) to deactivate the requirement of recurring for plan products.

We would need a backend access in order to confirm that (and a FTP access could be needed too).
Please use the "contact us" form to send us such kind of private information ; don't forget to include a link (the url) of that forum thread so the team will know to assign the ticket to me.
