-- url of the page with the problem -- : anything.msfcomp.org (test site)
-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Business: 2.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.1.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.27
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 30.0.1599.101 m
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- :

Notice
The line '' could not be imported (see hikashop_import.png) for error.

If you do an export of the products in one category (hikashopexport.csv), delete the unwanted lines (category info) and just import the the original lines (hikashopexport (5).csv). You get the error.

The product has multi price options (3) and I am wanting to do an import rather than a manual update to products x 40 variants x 3 prices.

I did a simple export and import of the the same file as a test, even the hikashop simple export doesnt create the file correctly, so what hope do I have to fix that prior to an import ???

Regards and thanks in advance.

Mark

Hi,

The second csv don't seem to be well formatted.
It probably come from the csv editor used which change the data format.

Thanks to try to use another csv editor (for example notepad++) or to change the save parameters

Hi,
The original export csv file, doesnt seem to be correct.

The first column "product_id" is not in Quotes ("").

Doesnt matter what editor I use, Notepad, Wordpad, Programmers Notepad 2.

The original layout is wrong, can you please confirm this ??

Hi,

so what editor did you look at this with, as I said.

I have looked with Notepad, Wordpad, Programmers Notepad and Excel 2013 and the first column for a product_id does not have quotes around it.

958;"AF201";"";"";-1;"AF201-16D";1;0;1380583518;0;0;0;11;"variant";0;0;"";0.000;"";"kg";1380583730;"";"m";0.000;0.000;0.000;0;"all";"";0;0;0;0;0;"";0;0;"";"";0.0000000;0.0000000;"";0;"";"";"";"";"";"";"";"";"";"af201-03-20d.jpg";"";"";"Blue/Red";-16;-16;-16;-16;"Blue/Red";-16;-16;"Blue/Red";"Blue/Red";-16;"Blue/Red";"Blue/Red";"";"";"Blue/Red"

And not all columns do.... are the quotes required for all columns, or just for text ??

Would u like to login into my system and have a look ???

Sorry, I was thinking that you were talking about the column titles.
The product_id don't require quotes, this line seems to be correct.

Have you tried to save with other save parameters ? and then import ?

Hi,

Ok, I have done nothing with csv file.
I simply went into the products section, selected my product, did an export and created this file.

File Attachment:

File Name: h1071928.csv
File Size:13 KB

I then went to product import and selected the file (untouched) with these options

It then fails.

This is what I am saying the export / import does'nt even work..

I have wasted a week trying to get this working, and yet no one can help/answer me the simple question to say why does exporting your current products, fail when you try import it straight back.

I have a 1000 variants to import, I DO NOT WANT to do it manually.

Has everyone else been able to import fine ?

Mark :woohoo:

Hmmmm

It seems that the 12 latest columns are duplicated columns of the 3 columns before.
Thanks to delete these latest columns thanks to excel for example.

Or in first time thanks to try with that csv file:

Hi,

Sorry. Yes it's adding more columns than expected.
Example:
product_code,product_name,product_width,product_height (4 columns)
1,name,200,400,400,200 (6 columns)

Here there is two columns that must be removed, because the data is corresponding to nothing.
In your csv file the last twelve columns need to be removed.
