Hi,
Just a quick question, when importing from VM1 on latest Hika and Joomla 3.2 in IE11 on Localhosthow long should it take and what does it do? It has been running now for nearly 2 hours and I can see that the database now has users added to it but not much else. Onscreen it just keeps showing various different elapsed times.

Thanks

Tony

Update, after leaving it for 3 hours I tried to do the same thing directly on a 1.5 site and it gets stuck in a loop exactly the same place so after saying tables have already been created it just loops gibing difernt elapsed times and never writes anything to the database

Really need to get this sorted as This conversion was part of the reason for buying Hika.

Hi,

We had an issue with the Virtuemart import, which caused an infinity loop at step one.
We fixed it, on it now should work properly. Just download the latest version of Hikashop on our website and install it. Each step of the import (there are 13 in total) shouldn't last more than few seconds.

Hi,
That update has helped but there are still issues, I didn't get any error messages but:

1. the products have imported but don't show up in hikashop (I can see them in the db)
2. no orders or order items have been imported, there should be 445 order and 4050 order items

Tried running again and its says there is nothing else to import

HELP!

thanks

tony

Hi again,

Well, I made an import on the website you gave me ;

1. According to me, products are imported correctly. Indeed, when I went to your Hikashop product listing pannel after the import, I was able to see each products on its category. On the left pannel, just select a category, and you'll see all products of this category. For example, "Home Decoration" contains many products, when "Mugs" doesn't contain any.
2. I tried for something like 30min to create an order with Virutemart, without succeed. Could you provide me an access on a website with orders or just create at least one on the website you linked me ? Then I'll be able to test this part on the import and see what's going on.

Tristan.

Hi tristan,
virtumart is not installed to use on that site, just the tables and files. There are orders in the tables (445 and 4050) as you can see from this copy from phpadmin the routine is just not copying them: (you have mjiosql installed if you want to query the database)

Any luck with this, as I cannot continue for the customer until converted. Failing that is there a manual way of doing it.

thanks

Hi Tony,

I found the problem with the order import part, and fixed it.
I am sending you an email with the fix, and we'll add it very soon on our package.
I hope you won't meet any trouble anymore with the import.
