I have problem with charset encoding.

On server is setup:

Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,UTF-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7
In the xml feed is UTF-8.

I see wrongly some characters.
For example: Krbová vložka
Corect: Krbová vložka

Hikashop is setup for Czech language.

What can I do to see the characters correctly?

Regards for help.

When you download the XML and open it with a text editor which supports UTF8, like notepad++, you should see the texts displayed properly, and google should accept it.
You shouldn't need to change anything.

I hope. We need to use xml feed not for Google only. So it is important that the characters are display correctly. :-)

Still question:
How I can say to the system, that file with feed will be always saved to root directory?
Example: www.myweb.cz/feed.xml

There is no option for that. Either you download it with the link in the backend options of the plugin, or you configure the plugin to upload it via FTP to google products automatically.

I see, but problem is that the file will be generated automaticaly and FTP connection will not be used.
As I wanted to know if there is some way how to setup in plugin that the xml file, which will be generated automacicaly, will be always save in root directory.

The customer or price comperator receive the url of the file and the can upload them from this.

Do you see any solution for that?

Then why not simply give them the link of the options of the plugin to download the XML ?

I am very sorry, but I am not sure if we understand both the problem which I need to solve.

The subscriber ( customer or price comparater) need to upload the file automaticaly from the url.
The file must be saved best in root directory with some name of the xml file.
As I wrote in example.

The upload on the subscribers side is done by robot ( or cron) automaticaly.

I didn´t find the place, where the file is saved after his automatic generation.
So only way I see is to download file every day manualy and save it in root (or other) directory. Then the subscriber has him available.
This solution is not acceptable because expected to do it manualy every day and think about it.

Hi,

Indeed I thought that you wanted to give a link to your website owner to download the XML when he needs it, not to allow anyone to be able to download the file.
In that case, that's not possible with the current options of the plugin and it will require to add a new option to the plugin for that.
As it's not complicated and that I can see the use for others, I've made the modification and it will be available in next version of HikaShop. In the mean time, you (or others reading this) can request it via our contact form with your order number and we'll send it to you.
