-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.3

I have a client who has a current shop and he's wanting to swap to Joomla (actually he's wanting to get away from what he's in). He has an Excel file of all his products, but I cannot get it to import. Some content comes in, but it's messed up. There are about 60k products in it.

I need someone to take this file and import it into HS for me. The file is a little over 31Mb in size. I have attached an image of the first few line can be seen here. You will need to do whatever is needed in HS to set it up for the correct import of the information, though things like shipping I can do no problem.

Appreciate the reply Xavier and will post in the correct place if I need more help.

The "Import" helk page needs help itself. It is confusing and not well written. It's jumbled and doesn't explain the process well at all. The most help I got was after trying to do an import - the error messages seemed to indicate that my CSV file needs all the column heading names changes to match the hardcoded names in HS. I did that and I got to get some product to import.

So, I think I have the import reasonably well sorted. However, this client has 3 different tiers of pricing. Standard retail, 60%, and Wholesale. Obviously, he has certain customers who receive different pricing to others. So and item that costs $11.12 retail, costs $4.17 @ 60%, and $6.95 wholesale. How would I handle this?

Thanks.

Hi,

In HikaShop, we can set different prices based on the user groups, so you need to have 2 different user groups in Joomla for Whole sale, 60% then you can set a public price of $11.12, wholesale price = $6.95 and 60% = $4.17.

In the csv file you have to separate the prices by a comma and the price categories too.

The best way to see how to format the csv file is to create a product with these different values in HikaShop, then in the "Products" menu click on export and you will see how exactly format your csv file. :)

Great, thanks Xavier. I figured there would be a way, but just couldn't see it. Cheers.
