I am PHP/MySQL developer and new to Joomla & Hika. I am working with a legacy mysql database.
My task: take existing data and import into the appropriate/corresponding hikashop tables.

I need descriptions of the fields in the Hikashop tables to help me map the data from the legacy db to hika db. Does such documentation exist? if so, where can i find it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

We have a database structure diagram available in our developer documentation:
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...r-documentation.html
But there is no description for each field that I know of.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for your reply. I have another question regarding the Products table. Fields such as product_published or product_hit (less evident names), how would I determine what kinds of data they store w/o field descriptions?

Mike

Hi,

published - the product is published or not.
hit - the number of hits.

Hi,

It is a question that you can also ask in Joomla! forum ; because Joomla! also use b-tree.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-tree
