Google Product Trigger not working

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.28
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome and IE

OK guys, this has me pulling my hair out to figure out!

First, this platorm is absolutely amazing,. The problem I am having is that I want to use the google products plugin to create an XML file and get my products on google shopping. However, every time I hit Trigger download, nothing happens. A new page opens, but it is blank. There is clearly an error or hangup of some kind, but I am not getting any error message.

Can someone give me some insight on this?

Hi,

Turn on the error reporting and debug mode of the Joomla configuration and try again. That should hopefully display an error message.
Also, I encourage you to update to HikaShop 2.3.5 which fixes a problem with the Google Products plugin so it might actually help.

Unfortunately, that didnt work. An update hasnt solved it and I dont see any error messages...

Then this means that your web server is not configured to display error messages.
Please look in the PHP error logs of your web server for the fatal error message and provide it.
Note that it is probably because the website has to load too much data from the database (it basically has to load all the products data in memory in order to generate the XML file) and changing the "Increase performances" option of the plugin might actually help.

I actually don't THINK that's the issue. I am able to display error messages in other places on the same backend of the same installation. But this particular page shows the debug output data, but no errors. Also, there is nothing in my hosting error log.

Perhaps this screenshot will help. It shows what the page looks like immediately after tapping Trigger.

As you can see, a blank page appears and part of the Joomla logo is oddly covered. (note: my sites name is blanked out with red for privacy)

Also, it may be of note that my site only has 5 products right now. So I dont think its a size issue.

Indeed, with 5 products it's probably not a resources issue. Could you provide a backend access so that we can check your settings ?
