I'm sure that CSV is popular and is useful for people who can manipulate the data. However, for an overwhelming majority they have no idea what to do with the "mess" they see in a CSV.

Is there any plan for adding a "dummies" export or some useful, printable reports? From the frontend customers can't even access reports (via HikaMarket) and it requires backend access to get what little is on offer. None of the reports are printable which is a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, the whole world does not clamor for CSV files, some just want to print a hard summary report. Adding a print routine to the reports, along with some new reports to show dollar amounts per mont, per product/category would be very helpful for customers who don't want to deal with CSV.

Thanks.

Hi,

The HikaShop report system is not flexible enough to allow to display them in the front-end ; that's why I created a new report system for HikaMarket.
The HikaMarket users can see the reports in the dashboard and if you want to create new reports it is possible thanks to view override (or plugin) ; I understand that the way to add new reports is not user-friendly and we are still experimenting and thinking about how we can propose a good interface for that.
If you have ideas or suggestions, don't hesitate to share them with us !

Once the report will be better in HikaMarket, I want to propose them for HikaShop.
Because the current report system is good but not flexible enough (and some kind of reports are not possible with the current structure), it requires big modifications (or a re-factoring) in order to propose new features.

About the CSV export ; with some (not big one) modifications, the class widget could use the spreadsheet helper in order to propose XLS exports too.
