-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Google Chrome
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : NONE

We are working on a website for a client and they would like to know if the there is a way in Hikashop that the excel file format can be made an option for export since the CSV file has issues of putting multiple data fields in the cells.

Attached is what the client gets in the CSV file.

Please let me know so that I can inform our client. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The csv file seems to be correct, could you explain with more details (like screenshots) the issue ?
Via the mass action it is possible to export a file as xls, but I am not sure that it will solve your problem.

Hello,

I know it is correct and I am able to import to excel and see it correctly. However, my client and his manufacturer are not able to open it correctly in Excel. How is it possible to export a file as xls with mass action? When I go to mass action nothing shows up.

Please advise. Thank you!

Hi,

If nothing shows up in mass action that's potentially because the mass action plugins are unpublished.
So you have to publish them back, and then in the action select the "export a csv file" and select the "xls" format.

Hello,

Okay, thank you! Have now looked in the websites main plugins as well as in Hikashop's plugins. There is nothing under the Hikashop plugins and in the main website plugin section everything related to Hikashop is published. Is there something else that it could be?

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Via Extensions > Plugins, you should find the plugin "system / hikashopmassaction", and the plugins "hikashop / massaction_product", "hikashop / massaction_order", etc. If they are not present, so they have been deleted as they are installed by default, you can install the latest version of HikaShop to get them back.

If they are present, you have to publish them;

If already published, so in HikaShop > System > Mass actions you should see content, and set up the mass action as you want in order to export to xls file.

Okay, well it looks like someone deleted those plugins. Is there any other way to export an xls? Reinstalling seems like it might mess with everything that is already set up.

Please let me know, thanks in advance!

Hi,

Download the latest version install package, extract it on your computer and in the folder back/extensions/ go in each massaction folder, zip the files of each plugin and install each zip via the Joomla installer. That will add back the plugins.
