Previously, 2019, I established a Shop for a friend with 14 categories, 1,100 products (including references to all product images, 4 for each item) Additional images, Options, Attributes, Specials, Discounts, and Rewards
Each of these was in a separate tab in an xlsx file

These were imported and exported regularly when products were added and removed depending on availability along with pricing changes.
The shop owners were basically luddites and managed this really well

Haven't been using HikaShop since 2020, so I figured I'd add 2 items with all the attributes required and export as default.
All I get is a csv with 4 lines (attached) . Documentation relating to export/import references columns, there are none.

This new shop is to have 400 items, with similar attributes as previously, and I'm feeling uncomfortable setting it up
More importantly is this needs to be pain free for the owners to do their thing.

What am I missing?

Hi,

I do see columns in your CSV file:

So I'm not sure what you mean by

Documentation relating to export/import references columns, there are none

Could you provide more information on what your problem is ?

I'm on a Mac and what is attached is what I get opening the .csv in Excel
I downloaded Libre Office and opened the same file.
Attached is what I get.
I shared the file with others with same configuration with the same outcome.

It may be useful if anyone else gets a similar outcome to try the same.

Thanks for the response

Hi,

The problem is not with the file but with how you open it.

Normally, when you open the file with LibreOffice you get a wizard (like on my screenshot) where you can select the separator.
Based on your screenshot, it seems that you didn't select "semicolon" for the separator when openning the CSV file. Please do so and you'll be able to open it properly.

Excel also has a wizard to import CSV files:
support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/text-...0EBBJ=Newer_versions
Based on your version of Excel and your locale (language, region), the default CSV separator used by Excel to open CSV files without the wizard can be different.

Note also that in the HikaShop configuration page, you also have a "CSV separator" setting where you can select if you want HikaShop to generate CSV files with commas or semicolons:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...nfig.html#main_files
