First of all let me congratulate the HikaShop team for this recent website ReMake. it looks a lot better and makes us gain confidence in your team and future of your product. Having said this here comes my open question to both the Hika Team and the user / developer community.

I will start a brand new project relaying on HikaShop, HikaMarket and the Yootheme Templates.

I have serious doubts on wether use Joomla 2.5 or 3.0. WAHT IS YOUR POSITION ON THIS?

Are the Hika components as trustable in 3.0 as they are in 2.5?

Hi,

First at all, thanks for your message from all the team.

We worked hard for this new Joomla 3.1 website. When we start the project on Joomla 3, there were some missing essential components (like Kunena).
Personally, I think that most important extensions migrated to Joomla 3.1 and it will be easier for the update/evolution to make a website with Joomla 3 than Joomla 2.5
After that it depends on what you want to do. We wanted to have a responsive design, to use new cool features of Joomla 3.

HikaShop is fully compatible with Joomla 3, we have several Joomla 3 test sites in order to test our components with it.
More than that, we are "running" under Joomla 3.1 with the latest HikaShop package and we will continue to update it for each release.

We participated in the Joomla 3 development/test, sending some pull requests, validating some patch etc.
So I can say that Joomla 3.1 is becoming stable and mature. It will continue with Joomla 3.2 and Joomla 3.5
