-- url of the page with the problem -- : http://www/spiritinform.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.1.3
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5
-- PHP version -- :5.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : chrome
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : The cart items combined weight is too big for all the possible shipping methods

When someone adds a product to the cart, then hits the 'proceed to checkout' the next page at the top is the notice: The cart items combined weight is too big for all the possible shipping methods - this is before logging in or creating an account. This would surely deter people from going any further. I cannot figure out with the problem is.Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,

This error message is just telling you that your order weight is too high for all your shipping methods. Also can you download and install the last Hikashop version which will probably fix your issue.

Thank you, I'll give the install a try and see if that fixes it!

I updated but I get the same error, just different wording. I don't understand. I'm choosing 1 DVD with a weight of 1kg. The shipping methods are two, one for north america and one for international and the shipping method for one cd for each is based on the weight of 0.1 kg minimum to 1 kg maximum. I'm getting this error also before the system knows which shipping address I'm choosing. If I go further and sign in or create a new account, the shipping calculation is done correctly however.

I can't figure out why I'm getting this notice at this point. If you have any other suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,

Lillian

Hi Lillian,

Maybe your checkout workflow is causing this issue.
You should first try with a product of 0.5kg and then try to change your workflow.
We would also appreciate to have a screenshot of your checkout configuration and the shipping method.

I tried chaning the weight, but nothing changed. I tried moving the 'shipping' in the workflow, but it wouldn't move, it kept bouncing back to where it was. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyway, I've attached the screenshots of the workflow and the shipping method. thank so much!

I think you were trying with the shipping box at the top, try with the one on the left.
Also, you should check that your product weigh is indeed in kg and not in g.

Hi There, it's definitely kg... I changed the shipping but could only put it at the bottom, can you have a look at the attachment and let me know if this is ok? It's still showing the error though... thanks so much!

Well I guess we'll need a backend access as well as a FTP access to check this.
Can you please send us these informations by PM or using our contact form?
