Hi,

You have to take a look at your PHP error log.
I guess that you had a problem with the database update and there is an SQL error.

You can also try to activate the Joomla debug mode in order to print more details in the page.
There is an option to change the PHP error reporting level, if you change it to a higher level, you will be able to see the PHP error message or the SQL error message.

Hi Jerome,
I don't have any idea about PHP and database errors. I have activate the Joomla debug and under database requests I have found the text in the attached file.
But I'm stupid understand anything if that can help for a solution of the problem.
It is normal that after an upgrade appears something like this?

Regards,
Jonas

Hi,

Are you sure that you also set the "error reporting" option of the joomla configuration to "maximum" as Jerome said ? Normally, that should display the fatal error at the end of the pages which is not the case in your txt file.
We need to know the PHP error which trigger that blank page to be able to help you.
If you don't get the fatal error PHP message displayed, it means that your server is configured to not display them. In that case, it will require to look in your PHP error log (a log file of your web server) for the fatal error. If you don't know how to look at it, please ask your hosting company.

It's not normal that this happens. In fact you're the first one with a blank page on the whole website after an upgrade of HikaShop. That's why we need the error message in order to be able to identify the issue and tell you what you can do to fix it.

Hi Nicolas,
now I set the "error report" of joomla to maximum. But I can't see the error. Only in the site www.nicething.de appears the error:
Not Found
The requested URL /79c3jtMm.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

My Joomla site www.nicething.de/nicething shows me the blank page. Only the backend is working.

I asked the Server support and they get me this answer:
"Wir können so nichts feststellen weder in den Logs noch im Debugger, dies vor der Update lief liegt es nach dem Update nicht an PHP, denn POHP verändert sich nicht."
Free translation: We found nothing in logs and debugger. If it worked right after the update there no depends on PHP, because POHP no changing it.

I'm stumped. Any idea more?

Regards,
Jonas

Hi,

If we try the page:
www.nicething.de/nicething/index.php?option=com_hikashop
We got

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/www/web2/html/nicething/templates/jyaml/index.php on line 50

Hi Jerome,

thanks a lot! Here was the bug.
I don't understand that after the update some lines appears in the inde.php from the template and also in the index of the first page like in the attached file.

Is this a hack or a false script?

After delete this all things are working well!

Thanks for all!
Jonas

Hi,

This means that your website was hacked. It's not related to the update of HikaShop.
I would recommend you to contact a security expert to make sure that your website is secured and doesn't contain a backdoor.

Hi,
sorry - by accident the update and the hack was in the same time.
Thanks a lot for your help. I will take heed of your consult.
