Vendor Paypal Payments

Hello,
I have configured my hikamarket so that it will be a commission based website which as I understand will allow my vendors to receive payment themselves rather than me receiving paypal payment and then paying the vendors. I have set up the paypal plugin but when I test purchase a vendor product the payments are going to the master Vendor paypal account rather than the vendor paypal account. What am I missing? Thanks a million

Hi,

You probably want to configure the PayPal Adaptive payment plugin and not the PayPal standard plugin so that each vendor receives his cut and you too automatically after each order:

Is the paypal adaptive payment plugin the only option? I will not be charging any fees or commissions for sales on my site, it is free to use. I also would prefer NOT setting up a business or premier paypal account. All I want is for the payments to go directly to the vendors paypal account. Can I do this without the paypal adaptive plugin?

Hi,

This option will be available in a future HikaMarket release (payment per vendor).

We introduced the "vendor limitation" in HikaMarket 1.3.0 so you can forbidden several vendors in a same order. At this moment, you will pay just one single "person" (one vendor).

We are working on the edition of the payment plugin in the front-end. So the vendors will be able to create/edit their payment methods and fill their information.
We will also introduce a simplified paypal management which will use the paypal email in the vendor configuration. So the vendor won't have to configure they paypal plugin method, it will be done automatically.

Hi Jerome
forgive me but I am having a little difficulty understanding the last post. Am I correct in understanding that currently I DO have to use the adaptive plugin? Any Idea when the new simplified paypal management will be released.

Also does your Alpha Points paymenent Plugin automatically give points to the vendor or do you have to manually do this?

Hi,

You can use another payment plugin but at this moment, the main vendor (you) will receive the payment and will have to resend the money to the other vendors (HikaMarket provides all useful information).
The payment per vendor is currently in development and I hope I will finish it for the next release.

For "Alpha User Points", there is no special integration between the plugin and HikaMarket.
I made a refactoring of the plugin with the new version "HikaShop User Points" but for the moment it works like the previous version : it creates a discount.
