Hi, we have a client who needs to revamp a site with an e-commerce section where people can buy wine online. They currently have the POS (Point-of-Sale) system from services.wineweb.com/POS.cfm . The client would like to have the new shopping cart linked to the current POS system for their warehouse inventory. Is there an option to incorporate this so both online and warehouse inventory systems can communicate? We are planning to use the latest version of Hikashop.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Hi,
Stocks management is included in HikaShop. You can set a quantity for each of your products and then the system will update it when an order is created or cancelled. But you still can manage your product stock through a CSV file that you'll have to update regarding your warehouse inventory, and to import through "hikashop->Product->'Import'".

Thank you for your quick response, Mohamed! Sorry, I should have explained it in details in the first email. This client has a winery business, they offer wine tasting, sell wines/ products at the store at , etc. They currently have a POS (Point-of-Sale), but will discontinue using it and will look into another POS soon. We would like to know if Hikashop has something like a POS system so that the inventory and reporting are combined since the online shopping cart and POS share the same products, customers and club member data?

Here is a thread about the POS system dated 1 year and 6 mos ago.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi,

We include in HikaShop 2.2.0 some kind of warehouse system. For the moment the rest of the interface is not finish but the shipping system is already there.
It will be possible to assign a product to a warehouse but it won't be possible to have one single product in two warehouse with two different quantity. At this moment you will have to create variants for one single product and put your two variants in two different warehouse with two different quantities.

So, the warehouse system exists in HikaShop but the interface (which allow you to create warehouse and assign a product to a warehouse) is not yet finish. You can do it directly in the database and we are planning to finish it as soon as possible.

Hi Jerome,

If we use Hikashop shopping cart, is there a way to setup the checkout button to go to another site? There is a company who specializes in Point-of-Sale system and they will be able to link the online inventory to the warehouse. To do so, we will need to use their check out page so that the data can be transferred to the warehouse. Hope it makes sense.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi,

It makes sens but I don't know how it could be possible.
You can create a button which will redirect wherever you want to but, HikaShop is managing the cart and the orders. You have to send these data to the other system.

Everything is possible, but it requires some development.
