upgrading from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1 does not complete

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.14
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.27
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

Uploading the new version seems to be partially complete
the Hikashop update/about dialog shows "Your version is 2.2.0, the latest stable version is 2.2.1"
and the site - Extension Manager: Update show that hikashop needs to be updated
I checked a few of the php files in the com/hikashop folders and they all show "* @version 2.2.1" in the header

Hi,

It means that you had a problem with the database update.
Please try to re-install the package.

To check if the database is right updated, you can check if the table "hikashop_plugin" exists.

Using a .zip format instead of .tar.gz fixed the issue. The installation completed successfully.
Must be something wrong in my joomla config
