Tax and total Display issue

When i have a tax rule created and enabled i have the issue were. The price already has the tax displayed.

Example:
CAD 56.40 each

However when you click on the product to buy it the check out reads this.

Total $50.00
HST $6.40
Final total $56.40

How do i get it to not show the tax on the product before checkout.

In the configuration I have the following set up:

Show taxed prices (No tax)

Had you edited the view "product / listing_price" ?
Thanks to try to change the value of the option, save, and set it back to no tax.

i do not understand what you mean.

i seem to be going around in circles and not making any progress. Could someone look into this please?
