-- url of the page with the problem -- : 108.167.174.116/~gcamplif/index.php/our-products
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5
-- PHP version -- : x.x.x
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : XXXXX x.x.x
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

I have created a joomla siote on localhost with the hikshaop module installed, everything worked great, I have now moved the site across to a remote host on (hostgator) and the site works alright, but all the images I uploaded in hikashop for the categories and products seem to have disappeared, they're in the folders but within the hiksahop products and categories on the administrator side where the files were uploaded, they've all just reverted back to the default barcode image. I'm assuming there's some configuration within hikashop that needs to be changed or adjusted when the whole joomla site is ported across but I have no idea where to change that?

Any help in this regard will be much appreciated.

Regards

Neil

Hi,

That's a strange thing, it could be a permissions problem.
Try to change the folder access rights to 775, I'm not sure that it will solve the problem because the images are well displayed in frontend..

Can you give us a screenshot of the problem in backend ?

Hi Xavier, thanks for your reply.

For the time being I've just re-added the category and product images again as I had to get this site ready for the client earlier today, but the problem is a bit perplexing as the rest of the product info and category info ports across correctly but within the actual hikashop product/category set up on the remote site that image is not mapped at all to the product or category and only the default image shows where you apload the images for each, I'll test it again with a new site because we will be using the hikshop module for our e-commerce quite extensively and see what happens.

Perhaps the folder permissions are the problem. I'll get back to you on this post when I set up one of our new sites with hikashop on localhost and then upload it to a remote server, and see what happens, but for the time being that site that this post referred to is working again after reloading the images.

Thanks again

Regards.

Just to show you the screen shots in the backend of the joomla hikashop you asked for, you'll see the localhost screen shot with an image and the remote host screen shot of the same site once ported to joomla with the image defaulted back to the barcode image, and the same was for all the products and categories images.

Hi,

Did you right moved (from your local website to the other one) the images which are in the "media/com_hikashop/upload" folder ?
Did you check your configuration for the "upload folder" path ? (Configuration > Main > Files) ?

You can also check the content of the table "hikashop_file" which contains the images url (which should be relative path from the upload folder)
