Copy of Categories

Hi,

searched but did not find this. Is there a way to copy categories (like products has ability)? I have to create 100 categories with several subcategories and would like to simply copy them!

Hi,

Actually, the easiest way is to use the csv method.
Export you categories (you can do that thanks to product export or thanks to the mass actions) and then edit the csv file to copy / paste the categories and import the file.

trying to work with exporter... It appears I am getting only two columns in the excel file (tried CSV, same also). See the excel file I have attached.

I have attached a screenshot of the categories created that I am trying to repeat....


It does not make sense to me that the categories are 4 deep yet the excel spreadsheet has it two deep only and throws categories underneath everything....

It's normal, the export is correct.
Ex of a category tree:

Main
- Category A

- Category B
