IE8 checkout modal issue

-- url of the page with the problem -- : private
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.1 essential
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.14
-- PHP version -- : 5.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : IE 8
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

For some reason IE8 will not show the modal pop up after add to cart button is pressed.
The sbox overlay apears but the aria-data call from true to false never hits the page. It is fine in IE9 and IE10
But IE7 and IE8 choke and just show the transparent screen overlay not the modal window with continue shoping or go to checkout.

There are no js console errors to work wth.

Any ideas?

The aria data ?
Which kind of popup do you use ?
Can you reproduce the problem in or demo website ?
