upgrading joomla 1.5-3 Hikashop issues?

hi-
need to upgrade from joomla 1.5 to 3. currently running hikashop v1.56
what is the best way to do this?
upgrade joomla first, or upgrade hikashop and then joomla?
Are there any likely issues in doing this?

Hi,

You should first upgrade HikaShop.
Make sure that you do backups before as that's a big update.
Also, make sure that when you update joomla, you can the same user ids or you might have them out of synch with HikaShop based on how you do the migration.

You can the same user ids => You have the same user ids.
It means that you have to check that users are right imported with the same ids.
If not, you could have troubles with HikaShop users because the id for the joomla user will become wrong.
