Order status emails no longer being sent

In the past, a manual status change would prompt to "Notify Customer", clicking "yes" would cause a status update email to be sent with the Invoice PDF attachment (we have the PDF Invoice option).
It appears as though it should work, yet no email is received.

I've confirmed the status change email is published in System / Emails. We've removed customizations to both the notification scripts and invoice.php to eliminate those as a factor, still no emails are being sent.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot?

Hi,
Can you check too the email settings in the configuration of HikaShop ?
Do you receive the order emails ?
Did you change something in the emails of HikaShop or in the configuration of HikaShop ?

I am receiving the order emails. I've not changed anything in configuration other than removing customizations in an attempt to troubleshoot. Status change emails were working previously and I believe the only changes since were upgrades to Hikashop, Joomla, and maybe the version of PHP.

I tried to test this on your demo site to see if an email would be sent to me and didn't even make it as far as I do on my site.
An attempt to send status change email notification (to "confirmed") yields:

TCPDF ERROR: Unable to create output file: /var/www/clients/client3/web3/web/plugins/hikashop/attachinvoice/attachinvoice/invoices/Invoice-45_1383632601.pdf

Hi,

Thanks to try to disable the invoice pdf plugin and see if tath's working.
If it is, thanks to download again the invoice pdf plugin and install it over the one currently installed on your website.

I went back to an older / development installation, version 2.1.3 and the email notifications worked.
With no other changes made to the site, merely upgrading to 2.2.0 caused the email notifications to stop working.

I did not try installing versions between 2.1.3 and 2.2.0, but the issue appears to be version specific rather than configuration.

Hi,

I think that updating to 2.2.0 or 2.2.1 will not broke the mails.
The email system has been re-factored for the 2.2.2

I add this issue on our todo list.

This looks like you didn't configure the email settings of your joomla configuration as per your hosting requirements and thus the emails are not sent.
I would recommend you to check the email settings of your joomla configuration and the email settings of your HikaShop configuration.
