Sometimes checkout process fails

-- Joomla version -- : 3
-- PHP version -- : 5
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : chrome
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message


When I go on a product page and select a characteristic, an option, upload a picture and click "add to cart" sometime the checkout process fails and states that my cart is empty when it should not.

Some other time the checkout process is successful. It lists the selected product and its options properly on the checkout page.

Would you have any idea as of why this happens?

Hi,

Do you have some cache activated ?
(Joomla cache, plugin system cache, cache system in your template)

hello

The joomla cache is disabled
The plugin system cache system is disabled
I did not find any activated cache system in my template

In "system/clear" cache I cleared the cache / template and cleared the expired cache

After I selected a product and loaded a picture and clicked "add to cart" here attached is the message I get instead of the checkout page with the listing of the product,options, and picture I selected.

Hi,
I directly tested it through your website and it seems to be working fine, can you clear your browser's cache or test it with another browser and tell me if it works ?

I tested with diff browsers and found the following issue:

1) Checkout is successful: When I place an order and select the default characteristic + an option. Then the order is processed over to the checkout page.

2) Checkout is successful: When I place an order with any characteristic (no options are activated on the page). Then the order is processed over to the checkout page.

2) Checkout fails: When I place an order with a different characteristic than the default one + select an option. Then the add to cart fails and the order is not processed.

Currently the options available on the page are listed in the form of radiolist. I changed the listing into the standard dropdown menu but the above remains true.

Due to the issue with the characteristics not working I only placed options on my active product page but this is not a feasable solution. www.canvascool.com/jml/index.php/product...duct/1-canvas-simple

Hi,

As far as I can see, it comes from the customization that you did on the product page. Can you revert the modifications that you did by clicking on the "remove customization" icon of the product view files via the menu Display>Views (after backing them up) and see if it works?
