I have just upgraded my version of Joomla to 1.5.16 using Jupgrade. It has created a new directory for this new version which is good as it has allowed me to check if there are any problems before I use it live. However it hasn't taken Hikashop into this directory and so all calls to Hikashop simple give an error. I have an upgraded Hikashop on my old installation to the newest version. I now have a live website running an old version of Joomla and a test site running a new version of Joomla but no Hikashop. If I install Hikashop into this test site with the newest Joomla can I get my product data from my other website?

You will need to export/import all the hikashop_ tables via phpmyadmin from the old database to the new one and then install HikaShop and copy the folder media/com_hikashop/upload in order to get all your products in the new website.
If your users don't have the same ids between the old website and the new one, you'll have to either update their ids, or more simply not export/import the tables hikashop_order hikashop_order_product hikashop_history hikashop_user and hikashop_address
Otherwise, the users would have addresses/orders of other users.
