Missing discount on PayPal

Hi,
today my customer give me noticed about an issue.
I cecked and it is a real issue.
I have alphauserpoint.
I set a discount of 5 Euro when the customer has 100 ponts.
The customer has chosed the paypal payment
The hikashop final ceckout is perfect, but on the Paypal site there is any discount.
What can i do to fix that?

Hi,
You should probably set the "Send details of the order" option of your Paypal payment method to YES.

Hi,

The thing that Mohamed ignored is that the way you use the AUP plugin is not compatible with the paypal plugin.
You are not using a regular discount, it is not a real discount.
The AUP plugin, in the way you use it does not create a discount/coupon but it uses an "additional" item. This item is outside of the cart products but is include in the cart for the processing of the cart total.

Because it is not a discount, it can't be seen by the paypal plugin as a discount.
Because it is not a cart product, it can't be seen by the paypal plugin as a cart product.
That's why you can't see this additional in the paypal details ; the plugin just don't handle it.

Hi,
i use the plugin type " Hikashop AlphaUserPoints Plugin" called "Pay with points".
You can see it on my screenshot1
On the checkout cart it is like on screenshot2
For a good shop it is very important manage the real amount with the PayPal payment; otherwise the customer give up the order and the onlineshop for ever.
So, how can we fix that?

Hi,

Yes, like Jerome said, you are using the "virtual coupon" feature of the AUP plugin.
This feature is not compatible with the paypal plugin's "send order details" option.
So you have two solutions here.
Either you don't use the "virtual coupon" feature of the AUP plugin, or you turn off the "send order details" option of the paypal plugin

What happen if i turn off the "send order details"?
I mean what the customer will see on Paypal?

I'm not saying that you should disable the AUP plugin. I'm saying that you could turn off the "virtual coupon" of the AUP plugin. That doesn't means that you won't get the points to work, it just mean that it will display differently.
If you turn off the send order details option of the paypal plugin, you won't get the details of the order sent to PayPal, just the total of the order, so the customer will see the total of the order on PayPal.

Hi,
Do you mean that there is a second way to have an automatic discount, directly on the cart, when the customer have, for examples, 100 points?
at the moment i solved without send order details option of the paypal plugin. Now the amount is correct.
But now i notice a bug.
If you come back from paypal, without payment, and the order is cancelled the system does not give the points back.

Hi,

I mean that if you don't use the virtual coupons, you can use the user points payment plugin or the user points plugin to propose the user to pay with his points.

Regarding the bug that you have, that's something that we have fixed in the user points plugin. I would recommend to use it instead of the AUP plugin (it is also compatible with AUP. It's just that the AUP plugin is now deprecated).

I'm sorry but I do not understand anything anymore.
so i have:
the rule on AUP (screenshot1)
the pay with points plugin (screenshot2)
the AUP plugin (screenshot3)
Then i have all the 3 enable.
Is there another one plugin?
If not which one is deprecate and i have to disable?

Hi,

The "pay with points" and AUP plugin screenshots are the same plugin which is deprecated.
Instead of that plugin, there are two new plugins called "hikashop user points" and "hikashop user points payment plugin". The first one is to give points to the users, the second is to have them use their points.
The first one can be configured in the joomla plugins manager and the second via the menu System>Payment methods.

Hi,
ok, now i've disabled the old plugins and enabled the new plugins.
Now the system gives back the points
If i can i'd like to ask you two other questions.
1 could you explain me what is the "Group points: Warning level" option on the "hikashop user points payment plugin" please?
2 If i remember well with the old plugin i had set a restriction for the virtual coupon. I had set a minimun amount without the shipping cost.
Now the restriction works but with the shipping cost incluse. I set the "shipping" option on "NO".

1. That option can be used to force the customers to use their points by groups. So for example, if you want them to only use their points 10 by 10 you would enter 10 in that option.
2. Can you do a screenshot of the options of your plugin ?

Hi,
1 to have a virtual discout of 5 Euro every 100 points i set group points by=100 and maximum points=100. It works. But every value i set on G.P. Waring level i have always the same warning message. So i don't understand what is its use.
2 here you are the screenshot. It the same for issue n.1
