All I did was update the payment plugins and now my custom name, address, email, phone etc. fields do not display! :(

I still see everything in the back and it all says published but it isn't displaying in the checkout page, any idea why please?

Thank You

Updating a payment plugin won't change the display of the registration form on the checkout.
If you don't see the registration form on the checkout, it's probably that you changed some settings in the Checkout tab of the configuration or via the menu Display>Custom fields.

The system said there was an update, I clicked on it and it was payment plugins so I just clicked update. I guess it loaded new payment plugins and then broke my checkout somehow because I did not touch anything else. I'll see what I can figure out.

I'm not sure what you did but you might have to do a full update of HikaShop to fix that.
You can download the latest version (the update is not yet activated) on our website Your account>Your subscriptions menu and install it via the joomla installer in order to perform a full update of HikaShop.

On my site it says only that my "starter version" is up to date. I tried to update full "business version" after downloading the latest version but it just hangs forever, gives an error and does not upload. Any idea why it won't just upload the latest version?

Not getting very far here!
Got everything updated with install of latest versions but my custom fields STILL won't show up!

I did notice that once you do an update it wipes out anything you did in the language files and you have to do it again.
Could it be something in there?

We answer as fast as possible. Please understand that we're not 24/7 on the forum looking at the messages and that it's been less than 8h that you're waiting.

The update indeed updates the english language file (it's joomla which does that). That's why we recommend in the documentation regarding the translation modifications to use the override area of the translation edition so that you don't loose your changes when you update :
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

Now regarding your fields, the email field cannot be removed from the registration form of the checkout. It's actually not a custom field. So if you don't see it anymore on your checkout, it would mean either that you removed the "login" view from your checkout workflow or that you're already logged in.
We would need more information on how you configured your checkout (screenshot of the checkout tab of the configuration), how you configured your custom fields and a link to the page and if you have an error message when you access your checkout with the debug mode an error reporting options of the joomla configuration turned on.

Please note that when you create a new thread, you can see in the text area several rows of information that you can fill in. Instead of removing them, it would be wise to fill them in so that we don't have to ask them to you. Otherwise, you loose time while we have to ask you the information about the problem and you then have to wait again for our next answer.

Thank You.
I will send details but have a question. The ONLY thing I did was to update payment methods (I probably shouldn't have done that) Now, when I check my version it says "starter version is up to date" but it makes no mention of thefact that I have the business version. Also, some areas inside are saying "available in business versions only" but I already have this!
Could this be causing a problem?

This means that you have the starter edition installed.
That's probably why your custom fields disappeared since you probably using tables which are not available in the Starter edition.
I would recommend to install the package of the Business edition and that should fix the problem.

Did you do something or was that me?
It seems to have come back after I tried to reinstall the business edition again :)

Actually, not quite back, my "shipping details different" button isn't there!

Nicolas, with the info I PM'd you, would you mind only looking at the custom fields for me. Item # 12 should be showing "same" and "different" radio buttons. If "different" is selected then a second set of input areas (13 thru 23) should appear. That is the only thing not working. Thank You

I see that you have custom CSS on your website in order to remove the "different" value of that field...:
#same_not_same {
display: none;
}
label[for=same_not_same] {
display: none;
}
Remove the CSS and it will display. It actually works just fine if you display it.
