Upgraded to 2.3 ... Fonts & Colors?

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.x

It appears that upgrading to 2.3.0 knocked all our fonts and colors out of wack. What files do we need to backup and copy back on top of 2.3 to preserve the customizations we have made? Our theme.css is in the templates folder, so I'm not sure how our fonts & colors would change unless hikashop adds new classes to css in 2.3?

Thanks.

Hi,

If you override the CSS file using the HikaShop backend interface, your css file should be kept.
If you modified directly the main CSS file, it is automatically overwritten during updates.

HikaShop 2.3.0 include a lot of design improvement but we let the old CSS file in order to let users have the exact same file than before.
So you can use the CSS "old" in your HikaShop configuration in order to use the same CSS file than it was in HikaShop 2.2.x

Ok, so restored from a backup to get back to 2.2.x. Hit Edit, then Save in the backend for the frontend css file. It appears to have made a copy in media/com_hikashop so it will survie an upgrade. Then we applied 2.3.0 and all our categories are now missing in the front end. The fonts and colors are correct, but no categories to click on! LOL!

What did we do wrong?

Hi,

Without more information or a link to your website, it will be very difficult to say.

No problem, we'll figure it out. We don't do these tests and upgrades on our live site. Actually, these pitfalls are keeping us from going live. We have a few products up now with an old hikashop. Adding all our products and categories is where we run into the performance issues. We'll get there eventually.

Hi,

We change the way that HikaShop is doing the update, know it keep the "old" CSS. The new design will be set for new install but no with updates. User will be able to change manually the CSS to use the new design, if they want.
