How to test if Affiliate feature works

We have tried to follow the instructions and set up one of our users as affiliates.

Before we send him details on how to access his affiliate account, we want to make sure it works as advertised. He seems to show up in the 'Affiliates' view in the User menu but there are no stats being accumulated because they seem to accumulate only when some payment is owed...

How can we test it?

Hi,

You can create test accounts on your website, set it them as affiliates.
And create an order, change manually the status of the order to confirmed. That should simulate a payment and so simulate the affiliation.
