Good morning,

Alright I have have HikaShop Essential installed up and running with the Authorize.Net plugin as well as the USPS plugin. I have some questions.

The USPS has been moved to the production server but Authorize.Net is still in TEST mode.

My basic questions are as follows, when does the data actually get sent to USPS? I have gone in and changed my order status to "confirmed" at this point will the data be sent to USPS. I get no errors regarding the shipping process, yet I don't see any orders on USPS (which seems to be another problem in itself, the USPS website is a disaster)

What I really need to know from you guys is when the order actually gets sent to USPS. If you could shed any light on what service the plugin is using on the USPS site that would be great also but I do understand it is not you website.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello Jeff,

What I really need to know from you guys is when the order actually gets sent to USPS

The order is only "sent" to USPS to have the corresponding shipping rates for your order through the checkout process. So you won't have any orders saved on your USPS account.
The Hikashop USPS plugin is only using your USPS account and order information to ask to the USPS platform the available shipping rates and their prices for your order.

Ok I understand now. Typically how do hikashop users export the data to USPS? Manually?
Second are there any shipping methods that send the data to the shipper and not just retrieve rates?

Thanks
Jeff

Hello,
1. Generally Hikashop Users just use shipping methods to retrieve rates because they already have their order details through their back-end order listing.
2. Hikashop shipping methods only retrieve rates, that's how they works, but note that we are currently doing a "refactoring" of the current USPS shipping plugin, so if I see through the USPS developer documentation that it's possible to send order data to the USPS platform and make it save on the USPS space I'll try to add it.
