Problem with Search Module

Hi,

I have installed RokAjaxSearch but i have the following problems. When I search a product with the original (greek) title, the search will display the product. If I search the same course but with the english name that i have given through the Falang it can't find it. The eshop should be in two or more languages so the search module should work on both.

Also, another problem with the search module is that if i search for a category , it will find it but if i click on that category i will get no results even if i have products in that category.

Do you have tried the search without RokAjaxSearch ?
Is that working fine ? If not, thanks to give us the screenshots of the plugin "hikashop search product" and "hikashop search category".

Hi,

I have tried also with Joomla search module and i got the same results. The search works fine in greek language , but in english which is the translated language with Falang it can't find the product -translated- name. I attached the screenshots of the plugins you have requested.

Hi,

That should work, in the plugin "search / hikashop_products" there is a specific part for FaLang to search in every languages.
Thanks to check in the table "falang_content" if there is all the corresponding names, etc.

Hi,

I couldn't find this part for searching in every languages with Falang. I checked the database ->falang_content and I 've found the english names of the products but they are not searchable in the eshop. I attached a screenshot from the database.

Please provide a link to the joomla search page on your website and the text that you're using for both the english and the greek translations search so that we can try.
Also, please turn on the "debug mode" option of the Joomla configuration and provide the SQL queries trace that appear at the bottom of the page on the result page of the search that doesn't work so that we can look at it.

Hi,

I searched "Course 7" in the English version of the website (the products of the eshop are moodle courses)
The result we get-> moodleshop.wideservices.gr/en/?searchwor...09ba04458e641b68836=

If I filter "Exact phrase" we will get 0 results. If I enabled the filter "All words" we will get-> moodleshop.wideservices.gr/en/?searchwor...09ba04458e641b68836=

I searched "Μάθημα 7" in the Greek version of the website with "Exact phrase" enabled and we get 0 results.

If I enable "All words" we will get -> moodleshop.wideservices.gr/?searchword=%...09ba04458e641b68836=

Also, I enabled the "Debug System" from the Global Configuration. I get no results in the "SQL queries" (Ερωτήματα Βάσης Δεδομένων) at the bottom of the page. Please check your inbox.

We indeed had a bug with the "Exact phrase" search.

Hi,

We have tried the solution, it partly solved our issue. In the Greek version but in the English version when I search the same product it doesn't show any results. The english version of the product is translated with the Falang.

Hi,

In English version if i search for "Μάθημα 7" I get several results with "all words" and with "exact phrase" I get "Course 7". In English version if I search for "Course 7" and "exact phrase" I get no results.

edit: and with english version and all words, the results i get it's from articles and no products.

Hi,

Could you try to update to our latest version, the 2.3.1 available on our website, then reinstall the plugin given in this thread www.hikashop.com/forum/install-update/86...-results.html#156642 ?

That solved the problem for other users, so it should work for you too. If it don't, thanks to give us a ftp access in order to debug that directly on your end.

Hi,

I tried the new version of Hikashop and reinstalled the plugins but again the search module works fine in the Greek version but it doesn't work with the English version which is translated with Falang.

The new version of Hikashop I have installed it here -> eshop.wideservices.gr . It is a copy of the original eshop.

The original eshop is moodleshop.wideservices.gr and I will give you ftp account in a few minutes. Please check your inbox.

Hi,

I prefer the ftp of the testing eshop with the latest version of HikaShop.
It will allow better tests for us based on the current version, and allow us to make tests without cramping the customers experience on the production site.

Hi,

A part of the support team is currently in Germany for the J&Beyond and were in Paris last week for the french Joomla day.
With the Internet connection we got, it is more difficult to do FTP support than at the office.
It looks like Xavier didn't solved the issue but he didn't notify us (quite more difficult to talk correctly with the distance and all support message he has to do without the rest of the team).
I assigned this thread to Nicolas, he will take a look at it (when we will come back next week and hopefully, during this week end if possible.
