-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.juicybike.co.uk/index.php/Classic-St...ange/product/listing
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.0

Since I updated Hikashop to 2.3.1 today my category listing has changed to include a whole load of other products below the few that were normally listed. In the example link, before the update just the three bikes were listed. Since the update another 20 or so items are listed, that don't seem related.
Where should I look to reconfigure the display?
Help appreciated!

I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give on this. Site is live and was working well before the update.

With upgrades changes can happen (sorry, thought it was you going from 1.6 to 2.3.1, but it's someone else). Anyway...

Since no one here knows which 3 bikes you want to see there and which others not, help will only be possible if you (a) state what you want or need to be displayed, and (b) what your settings for menus and modules are right now. For the latter, screenshots are best.

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply LF.
The upgrade was an install of HikaShop made around September last year to the most recent version.

If you were to click the menu item "electric bikes", "Classic Step Through Range", before the upgrade just three products would be listed (3 Classic Step through bikes), but since a whole load of non-Classic Step Through bike products are listed, from all the other categories (including repeats from the same "Classic Range" category).

I don't understand why the product listing now shows other products as well as the 3 bikes in that range.

The menu link is: index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=product&layout=listing

What settings would be relevant, if this problem has not appeared before?

In the backend, go to -> Display -> Content menu, select and open the menu with ID 336.
In the left pane ("Display"), near the bottom, you have "Associated modules", and for some reason there is a module associated (one with ID 150, but you can only see its name, not the number there), which is the one displaying below the menu product listing, but which you obviously don't want.
So then, click onto the button. In the popup, find the module (which is set to "Yes"), set it to "No", and save with the "Ok" button in the upper right corner of the popup.
Back in the main window, click "Save" in the upper toolbar, then check your site again. Should be good.

You Star!
Thank you! I wonder why it happened after the upgrade...
Actually, no I don't! :) I'm off to do the same with the other category menus.
Thanks again.

It's hard to tell why it happened without knowing what exact version you had before.

Anyway, these associated modules can be wonderful, i.e. to put "Related products", "Accessories", or "Last viewed", or almost whatever you want below whatever you spec'd in the menu selection. HikaShop can (now) even automatically add such modules. But guess you were in for a bad surprise since you didn't want this.

Just below "Content menus" in the backend, you'll find "Content modules". That's where those modules sit - and in the Joomla module manager, of course. However, it's best to manage and access them through the HikaShop menu. You might have noticed that the parameters of an associated module is also accessible right below the menu parameters in the menu edition page.

Anyway, you've got some new options for displaying your products. And some work to do... ;)

Hello,
The problem is coming from the fact that your "category listing" is a product listing, so the solution will be to :
- Go to the page "Hikashop->Display->Content menus"
- Edit your content menu which have the ID number 336
- Remove the module of the "Associated modules" option of your content menu.
