I've tried and tried and just can't get the the single state tax rate set. Searched the forum and tried some of those with no luck.
Attached are some screen shots, did I miss something? Thanks!

Hello,
Did you set the "Product tax category" option of your product configuration page to "Standard Florida Tax" ?

I did add it to each product, attached are some additional screen shots. Had tax applying to every state at one point, but tried setting it just to Florida and I can't get it working.

Thanks!

Hi,

It seems that you have two Florida state zone. Please delete one of them and make sure that the other is listed as a sub zone of the USA country zone, and that it is selected in your tax rule (and that it wasn't the deleted one) and do the same check for the address of your test user on your frontend.

It's possible that you didn't see the tax because your user address didn't use the same zone as your tax rule because of that and thus the tax rate was not applied.

I had the same problem after updating 2.2.2 to 2.3.1

Hikashop added new columns to the #__hikashop_taxation table

b.taxation_date_start <= 1403165278 AND (b.taxation_date_end = 0 OR b.taxation_date_end > 1403165278)
which resulted in
Unknown column 'b.taxation_date_start' in 'where clause'

For me this was caused by updating hikashop on a staging server, then copying the files across.
Installing on the live site allowed the database migrations to run.

Checked the tables and don't see that column. Some screenshots attached.

Hope support can help me out with this issue. Have a meeting with the client today and we are suppose to launch the site tomorrow.

Hi,

Your settings look fine. What Dorgo is proposing is indeed something to check and you can read more about such missing column issues here:
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...tibility-issues.html
Normally, if you turn on the debug mode of the Joomla configuration, you should see the query error relative to the missing column, if it comes from that.

Otherwise, it means that there is still a problem with the zones.

Normally, it's really easy to setup. You don't even have to mess with zones, tax rules, etc. You just fill your tax name and tax rate during the wizard setup at the end of the first install and it works.

So settings look fine, have no errors. It's already installed and all configured, so we are passed the wizard.

Is there anyway we could create a temp login and have you check out the back end of the site?

taxation_date_start and taxation_date_end columns are visible in your screenshot, so it is not the same problem.
