Fail to download sample data

-- HikaShop version -- :Starter 3.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.2
-- PHP version -- : 5.0+ (not sure)
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

After installing Hikashop, on the setting page where you can select layout, input shop address and everything, I selected "yes" for installing sample data and click next, an error message pops up saying:

An error has occured while downloading the sample data file. You can try again by clicking here.

I click the link but the same message pops up again. What is wrong? Is there any other way to install sample product?

Hi,

Please download again the install package on our website and install it on yours and then go again to the URL of the wizard on your backend and it should work.

Hi,

I have a similar problem. while installing HikaShop, i check Sample Data to yes, and after a while, the web page just display
"Can't open file"
and nothing else.

when it stops, the URL in browser is:
http://localhost/administrator/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=update&task=process_data_save&78ed4b77e02a764d0d7e25f96dd1df16=1&step=4

Pardon me if it's a stupid question, but i'm really a newcomer of Hikashop. what could be the problem? thanks.

Hi,

This indicates that the wizard downloaded the zip in the tmp folder of your website, extracted it there, started copying the images of the products in the upload folder of HikaShop but didn't find the file /tmp/dataexample/script.sql which contains all the SQL of the sample data.
I would recommend to check the tmp folder of your website via FTP. See if you have the zip, if the files have been extracted, etc. If not, you can potentially download the sample data zip on your computer, extract it, and upload its files in the /tmp/dataexample/ folder of your website via FTP and then open again that same URL and it should resume the processing.

Hello,

To download HIkaShop Business you first need to have an HikaShop license
Then you will be able to manage your subscription and get the latest package in your subscription page :
www.hikashop.com/my-account/your-subscriptions.html

And in HikaShop, you can call manually the wizard :
/administrator/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=update&task=wizard
