Discounted Price not Showing on Product Listing

Hello,

Since updating from Hikashop 2.6.3 to 2.6.4 the discounted price does not show on the product listing (the view of all products in a category - I describe as I'm unsure if by product listing you mean this i say or the product page itself), the price does show correctly on the product page..
I have checked in the staging/backuo copy made before updating (so Hikashop 2.6.3) and the discounted price shows on the product listing (so ot os OK).
This is why i assume it's an update issue (although i can't find similar complains in the forum..)

I've got both real discounts and just diference between comon prive (i.e. recomended retail price) and my webstore price, but in both cases the rpoduct listing display is the same (the highest price)

I have tried changing settings in different places (general config, menu config etc..) but no luck. I manage to alter the view in the product page (for instance with regular price striked or just showing the discount ammount) but not on the product listing (view of all products in a category).

I also don't get where do i change the product listing (all products in a category) settings as none of the things I changed produced a result!
I'm a bit confused with the menu thing (Hikashop default menus and Hikashop hidden menus??), and then i also have more menus to some categories, do this override the Hikashop default/hidden ones ?

I hope someone can help

Hi,

You need to edit your menu item via the Joomla menu manager. On the link you gave, your menu item has the id 263.
There, under the products options tab, you'll find discounted display setting which allows you to state how you want the prices to display on that listing.
Make sure that it is set like you want and save the settings.
If it doesn't change anything, please provide a screenshot of that settings page.

Hi Nicolas,

Whatever I do (regarding the discount settings) in the menu with ID 263 it does not afect the front end display.
I'm deleting Joomla Cache (in the backoffice) and also the server dinamyc and static cache (just to be safe - i think) after each change.
I've tried with the 3 diferent options/settings for the discount.(I'm not counting inherit as it only mimics one of the 3)

I've also tried changing the Which price from 'Cheapest' to 'Range' but neither in the category nor in the product listing it changes the display of products with different prices per option (as i would expect it to).

I'm sending some screen shots, for the front end none of the pages whatever of the mentioned settings I changed, nothing changed in the display.

I'm at a loss here - hope you can help.

I'm using JoomSEF (I mention just in case that might be the problem). As i mentioned the staging copy i've done before upgrading (is presenting as i wanted - with the value of the discount explicit in the view where all the products for the category are presented).

I'm not sure I'm correctly refering to product and category display? But that is not the issue. Anyway if you can clarify:
1- When i view all the products (images) inside a category is that the category or porduct display?
2- How do you call the view where all info/details for the product are presented (that various product photos, options, complete text etc..) ?
3 - how do you call the view where just the various categories (or subcategories if inside a categoie already) are presented ?

Hope you can help find what's going on (something silly on my side maybee..)

Hello,

I looked your configuration screenshot, I suspect an override view maybe from yourself or from your template.
To check this, can you make a try with the default template (like Protostar) in order to see if your Item menu options will works without the template ?

If yes, 2 roots :
- Check your HikaShop override view in Components => HikaShop => Configuration, then in Display dropdown select Views.
Use your three dropdown filters with: Product/YOUR TEMPLATE/front end



If you see a little trash icon, save your override view on your side and click on this trash icon to remove it, and make a new try with your template.

- If remove your HikaShop override view change nothing, that maybe means that the issue is coming from your template, contact your template creator.

Hi Nicolas,

I tried Protostar, and no mater what I set up in the menu options, regarding 'Discount' and 'Which price' nothing ever changed in the product page or the products listing. I did the usual clear cache etc.. and checked that other changes where aplied in front end, by changing number of columns each time I also changed the options for 'Discount'. I also tried all the tabs: Div, Table, List, Inherit (Div) trying all options in each.

As for the overrides, no customization shows up (i.e. no trash can icon) nor in my template nor in any other. In fact i removed all 3 dropdown filters and no line is listed as having customization (i.e. no trash).

What is odd is that if i click on one of the file links (for instance listing_div) a new page opens with the message:

The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

If you believe the security rule is affecting the normal operation of your website, contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error.
They will be able to assist you with rectifying the problem and adjusting the security configuration if needed.



At this stage it might be more productive for me to give you access to:
  • The live site
  • A staging copy I can prepare of the current live site (so you can try whatever you want at will)
  • A staging copy I have of the site prior to the upgrade from Hikashop 2.6.3 to 2.6.4. This 2.6.3 version shows the discounts, it was with the upgrade that they stopped showing in the listing with all the products (they show in the product page but can't edit the way they show)
How can i safely send you the access credentials?

Hi,

I see that you have variants for your product.
On the listings it's the price of the main product which is displayed while on the product page, it's the price of each variant which is displayed. So that could also explain the discrepancy.

Otherwise, yes, I guess it would help to be able to look at the settings of your website. You can use our contact form for that:

I've sent the backend access credentials. I'm sure you'll easilly find what's going on ;)

I already mention the issue shows up for instance in www.aqualoja.net/palas-natacao (as well as all pages of this kind - all categories).
One of the products with discounts (only showing in product page) is www.aqualoja.net/Acessorios/Palas-Finis-...ter/flypage.tpl.html (all products with discounts that i checked had the same problem!

PS: Variants might not be the problem since the products with discount that don't have them are also not working correctly

Hi,

I checked your website and indeed there is something strange as the display doesn't seem to reflect what is configured and I couldn't see any customization on your views.
I tried to look at the MySQL queries on your page but they don't show either when I activate the debug in your Joomla configuration, so I couldn't go further in order to understand the issue.
Could you provide a FTP access ?

We didn't do anything on the website yet with the FTP access. And when I looked at the website for my last reply, it still worked fine.

In fact, I tried to use the FTP access and backend access just now and none of them are working so we can't move forward with the issue.

Hi,

Thank you, I was able to find the issue and fix it.
For anyone else with the issue, I had to change the line:

if(!empty($options['no_discounts'])){
to
if(!isset($options['no_discounts']) || !empty($options['no_discounts'])){
in the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/classes/currency.php
Of course, the fix will be included in the next release of HikaShop.

I am having this issue on the latest version. Any advice? I have looked at all the menu setting.

Edit: I downloaded and reinstalled the latest version and it works. Would be nice if you guys did something like 3.1.12 so we know there have been fixes.
