-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5

Hi,

It seems the language file for the Dutch language is not the right version anymore.
Version 2.6.4 should be available... it now shows version 2.6.0

Would it be possible to update this ?

Hi,

The current version of the Dutch language file is the 3.0.0 as you can see with the tag HIKA_LANG_VERSION at the bottom of the language file. It also includes all the changes provided up until now.

Hi Nicolas,

I see the 3.0.0 text at the bottom, but at the top of the file it says ; "Up-to-date for version 2.6.0"

That is a bit of a confusing message for most of the users. :)

Hi,

When the Dutch translator send a file with updates ; he generally also update the header in order to indicate on which version he based the translation of the file.
Now the dutch file is synchronize in the way that he contains all translations for HikaShop 3.0.0b but for elements which haven't been translated, it is still the English content.

Hi All,

If the truth was told i would not react on this absurd thread.
The translation for 2.6.4 is at the HikaShop staff for a very long time, 2 months already.
But this translation isn't added to the system, instead the translation has been reverted to a very old state.
I have been sending mails for a long time now, but the issue isn't solved by the staff.

As long as the staff does not put the correct language files in the update mechanism all user will receive a very old version, which is already replaced by 3 new versions. The headers are always updated, so please don't blame other and just do your job.

Hi,

I already wrote you a very long explanation of our process and what I wrote in my message is still the truth.

Please note that we have several people who are submitting Dutch translations for HikaShop.
Please note that if we receive a translation for HIkaShop 3.0.0 alpha ; we won't publish that language file in production knowing that the current stable version is HikaShop 2.6.4

And no, my message is not blaming other.
We are doing our job and we have a lot to do.

I quote
"we have several people who are submitting Dutch translations for HikaShop."

It's promised by HikaShop team especially Nicolas, that only I can submit new translations and all other submissions for the Dutch language were first send to me, so I can check them and merge the changes with the main translation.

There is a written mail about this process.
So if you are saying you are accepting and merging Dutch translations from other people, then we are going to stop translating.
We had to many problems in the past because Flemish people were translating the wrong language and because you are not using a central system like crowdin, transifex or any thing else there will always be mismatches and wrong translations.

Thanks
I rather be wrong or misinformed, then have problems with translation updates in the system.
Now we can use a central system where everybody can help and us that as the main translation.

You can optimize the process by just using the transifex translation instead of analyzing the received translation through HikaShop.
This will save you a lot of time.

Multiple methods and places to translate, optimize or share languages is not very effective.
By using systems like transifex you always sure translators are using the same latests version which they updating.
This give you the change as well to use the normals Joomla language system with override functionalities.

I say good improvement that HikaShop transifex is available to be used.
I gonna upload the latests version to transifex and remove my translation system and tell the Dutch people who help translating to go to transifex.

Hi HikaShop,

I have requested access to the Dutch language right after the last message, still don't have access to the Dutch team on transifex.
When can we start using it for the translations?

Hi,

I requested to join the Hikashop team for the Dutch language on Transifex.

Can anybody give an estimate of the time it takes to be approved before we can help translating?
It's for the Dutch language.

Thanks.

Hi,

We don't have access to that.
I would recommend to rather user the "share" button of the HikaShop configuration page to send us your translations.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for the reply.
Then you can understand that I'm a bit confused by the reply from Jerome in this thread :)
So no transifex for Hikashop .. :(

Why is that ?
I didn't say that there is no transifex for HikaShop.
There is, and you can ask access to it.
But we don't have the right to approve people there.
It has to be done by ep98
