I'm bothering with not translated text on product page and product listing (and probably others places)
after switching lang to PL (or DE) HikoShop generated text stays English
(while product description is correctly translated to expected lang - using falang)

Site is ongoing transfer to J3 and HS 3.0.1. I didn't modify HS css files.
(On previous site J2.5 and HS 2.3.0 HS texts was automaticaly translated to correct actual language)

Example texts in English
Price with options: 599,00 PLN

Hi,

Did you install the translation files for these languages ?
You can do that here:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html
If you did and you still see the text of the interface in English, then either the text is not translated in the translation file, or you have some problem with the translations. In that last case, you can turn on the "debug language" setting of the Joomla configuration.
Then, look at the bottom of the page where you don't have the translated text and you'll find debug information telling you which line of which translation file has a problem and you can then check on these problems.

Thanks, good shoot, it corrected my site

Just note another things which was missing - (after db transfer and HS install/upgrade).
Configuration / Display:
Front-end CSS File
Styles for the front-end
were not set to default - got blank

I belive it should be set automatically if blank - to lower load on support and save users time..

thnx a lot

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.
Well, in most cases you want it to be set to "none" and not "default". The CSS in the default style is old CSS that do not apply to the new HikaShop checkout and cart systems.

OK, I tried it set it to none but effect not good (same bad as when above fields was just blank),
e.g. no frames on product listing, price with title in one too long line (instead split in two lines),
product pictures not centered in its place (aligned to left/top)
and other items not align and/or wrong line spacing.

Does it mean that something else is broken on my site so it doesn't work with none CSS, if so what ?

Hi,

No, it's ok to set it to default. Especially if you're updating from an old version.
My point was that for new websites you create directly with HikaShop 3, it's better to leave it to "none" if you can. But even with a clean website, the template might be adapted to the old CSS of HikaShop and you might end up having to set it to "default" to better match the CSS of the template.
