Need to Update to HS 3

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4

Hi,

  1. I am on HS 2.6.4. No update message on my backend. Do I need to update to HS 3.0.1?
  2. Is this update is as usual, it's mean just have to download it and install it via the extension manager? Nothing else to do?
  3. Is the HS 3 yet fully stable?
  4. And last question. Is 2.6.4 safe again?

Hi,

1 - That's normal, the automatic update is not yet enable.
2 - Because the automatic update is not enable, you have to download the package manually.
3 - Yes, it is stable and when the automatic update will be activated it will mean that it is consider as fully stable.
4 - Sure and I don't see how it could became unsafe

3. I appriciate the difference bettwen stable and fully stable...;-)
4. Because of an possible security update reason bettwen 2.6.4 and 3.0.1!

Hi,

When a security issue is found, we announce it and provide a patch for all the versions of HikaShop impacted.
So far, it happened only once a few years ago.
So the 2.6.4 is as secure as the 3.0.1.
In fact, we didn't update it on our own website yet.
