I entered my notification url in Paypal as 1092394676.test.prositehosting.co.uk/staging
I know they now require "https" but I dont have that yet.
1. Is this the only reason why my orders status is "pending" in Hikashop?
2. Is this the only reason why my orders status is "unclaimed" in Paypal?

3. I found this from Paypal but I am certain the purchasers email and the one I entered in Hikashop Paypal plugin are valid.
I did notice that the payments in Paypal are in Euros and I set my products for pounds in the screencap (notice how it still shows Euros beside the retails price field why?) could this be the reason?

A payment can be unclaimed because the payment was sent to either an invalid or unregistered/unconfirmed email address. A seller can also choose to accept/deny payments that are sent to them in a different currency than what they hold in their in their PayPal account.

There are other reasons this can happen also but typically it is either the result of a seller preference they have set or it is because of an error related to the email address that the payment was sent to.

I do receive my Paypal and Hikashop Emails as a purchaser and as an owner and it does show the orders in Hikashop but there status is pending even though I have received the payment in Paypal.

Thank you

Hi,

The payment is probably unclaimed in PayPal because you turned on the "enable validation mode" in the settings of your PayPal payment method in HikaShop, which allows you to manually review the payments on your PayPal account before accepting them.
And thus, if the payment is not yet claimed, it's normal that the order is pending in HikaShop since the payment notification to tell HikaShop that the payment has been made will only be sent by PayPal once you claim the payment.
It could also be that the currency of the payment is not accepted by your merchant account, etc.

Also, that notification URL is not valid. It should be something like that:
mywebsite.com/index.php?option=com_hikas...notif_payment=paypal

I have it set as "no"

Dont think so because I have received successful payments in Paypal in Euro currency

mywebsite.com/index.php?option=com_hikas...notif_payment=paypal

This is more likely to be the issue even thiugh it did complete the transaction in Paypal now.
How do I find or know the correct or exact Url to enter in Paypal?

Thank you

Hi,

You can replace mywebsite.com by your website domain name in the URL I gave to get your notification URL. Note however that normally, there is no need to provide it to PayPal. HikaShop already sends it to PayPal automatically with each payment request when the customer is being redirected to PayPal for the payment.
I would recommend to check with the PayPal merchant support as to why your payments are not being claimed automatically as we can't check on that from our end.
