Using a dev site first and license "Subscription attached to"

You can put your development website if you want ; you have the possibility to change the domain, that field is not "fixed".
We generally recommend to assign the production website to your license so you will have the cron-task, automatic updates, etc.
It's better to be notified on the production website for the updates than in your development website.
