Problems with various shipping methods after 3.0.1 upgrade

-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.0
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.30
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : any
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : none

I'm having problems with shipping methods in sites that I've upgraded from 3.0.0 to 3.0.1.

No errors that I can find anywhere, even with debugging on or in the web server logs

Basically I'm having problems with getting various methods to be active return rates.

But it varies from site to site, there is no pattern as one site's USPS works but the other's won't (where it was before).

I have other sites on the same server, still running 2.6.4 under Joomla 3.7.0 that work just fine.
So it isn't a server issue.

Here is what is happening on 2 separate sites on the same server:

Site #1:
UPS and USPS and manual methods were working before upgrading to 3.0.1 from 3.0.0.
What I'm finding is any methods were enabled at the time of the upgrade to 3.0.1 work fine.

Client changed their mind during development and decided to not use UPS or manual & add FedEx instead.
UPS was working under 3.0.0 but now we can no longer get it it even show results in checkout.
We added FedEx, and it too will not show up in any checkout shipping method option/results.
USPS seems to be working fine along with manual either by itself or with USPS enabled.

No errors are show with debug enabled, not anything in the web server logs.

FedEx and UPS credentials are all valid and work fine on other 2.6.4 sites on the same server when I tested them.
They return results as expected.

Site #2
I jumped over to our internal test site which had been upgrade to 3.0.1 too.
I've added FedEx method fresh and it won't show any results in checkout.
Manual methods are the only one that return any results however on this site.
Both UPS nor USPS methods don't return any results either (and were fine before).

It feels like the methods not enabled prior to upgrading to 3.0.1 are not triggering (even if they are by themselves).

Not sure where else to troubleshoot as there is no errors nor pattern as to which method.

I've reproduced this on two separate sites/installs of Joomla/HikaShop that were upgrade.
I even re-installed uninstall the latest version as of today and still not working>

Only thing I haven't tried is on a fresh 3.0.1 install however.

If it didn't fix your issue can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it and test it again ?

In case you missed it, I also installed the 3.0.1 again from a fresh download from yesterday (5/10/2017).

Now today while running through your list, I did at least figure out why USPS was an issue on Site #2 (our test site) is I didn't remember to change the Country so of course USPS options were not triggering due to International. So USPS seems fine.

Now on a hunch, I tried enabling all the shipping services on UPS on both sites vs just having one or two them checked.

Both sites start showing UPS results again - of course now I was getting results for services I didn't want.
So I started running turning them on one at a time.

Basically I found that for any UPS services to show results you must have the very last option check "UPS Freight LTL Urgent (ALL)".
If I do that, then any other options I select show up fine in checkout as expected.

Obviously I don't want that Freight service ever showing but at least I can trick into working for the time being on UPS.

Now this same thing doesn't work for FedEx.
Which I went ahead and tried one of my throw away FedEx accounts in your own demo and couldn't get it to show any results.

I'm hoping pointing you to the UPS issue will lead you to the FedEx issue.

Hello,

Your issue is probably coming from the fact that you didn't set any dimension through your product configuration page.
I just tested it with a product with dimensions and it worked fine.

Any particular reason why with FedEx you are requiring product dimensions to preform a lookup?

FedEx own site doesn't require HxWxL for rate lookup, nor do your UPS or USPS methods.
So a bit confused why that is needed.

The FedEx "Use dimensions" option is not check so far as I understand why that would matter.
It shouldn't be sending that information to them if I follow your help description correctly.
