-- HikaShop version -- : 3.1.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.2
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

I just updated to HikaShop 3.1.0 on a test site, and from the homepage, when you click shopping, it takes you to the manufactures listing (category). When you try to click on one, it takes you nowhere.

Also...if you look towards the bottom of the page, it's showing products...which it should not. None of this was happening with 3.0.1 as Mohamed was helping me with a display issue on the order screen recently.

Any help would be appreciated. I've tried looking in the configuration as well as the display settings and cannot figure it out.

Thank you

Hi,

We didn't change anything on that end so hard to say much.
We would need to be able to look at the issue, and some screenshots of the settings of the menu item listing your brands.
Your link doesn't work:

Nicolas, I apologize, I was on my way out the door to have a surgical procedure done, and apparently I fat fingered the address. I'm back home now, everything went well...just incredibly sore.

Replace "best" with "beta" on that address link and it will take you there. Soon as I'm able to I'll get down there and take screen shots, or I can set you up with back end access. Whatever is easier for you.

Thanks & sorry about the delay as well as the screwup on the address.

Nicloas, I'm going to shoot over some login info for you on the beta site so you can take a quick look if you have time while I heal.

Thanks

Hi,

The access you provided didn't give us access to the HikaShop configuration.
I've checked the situation on your website and I suspect the issue coming from the canonical URLs "category" part which is different than the "category SEF name" setting there.
Could you provide access to the HikaShop configuration or provide screenshots of the options there ?

Ok...something got changed and I don't know what.

Back when I had Mohamed helping with the USPS shipping plugin for a bug which he got fixed, everything was perfectly fine & he was using this account. It's showing up as an Admin, so you should have access.

After Mohamed figured out what was going on, I made sure the fix was good, and updated this beta site to Joomla 3.7.2, and HikaShop to 3.1.0. Now, as you can see in the User Edit screen attached...all options are missing! I don't know if these options disappeared before or after the updates...but I keep seeing "Debug Permissions Report" listed under everyone's names in the user manager. This was not present before.

Is it possible Mohamed turned something on I cannot find? I don't think he would have and forgotten to turn it off...but it's the only thing I can think of.

I've even tried reinstalling Joomla just in case, and that did not resolve this issue. Debugging in NOT turned on...so not sure what's the issue.

As far as the canonical URL issue...I checked a few of those products, and they don't have anything listed in their URL spots for canonical, so I don't think that's the issue.

After more research, the user options seems to be a bit more widespread issue with the 3.7.2 update. I'm following a thread right now on the Joomla forums. I'll let you know as soon as it's resolved.

Did I give you the correct screen shot for the URL issue you think is causing the problem?

Hi,

Yes, the screenshots are great. Unfortunately, the screenshots confirm that it doesn't come from the canonical URLs or the category SEF name.
It's as if the SEF didn't didn't take into account the SEFed parameters and only used the main category in the settings of the menu item, like with some strange caching, or some sh404SEF caching issue, but I couldn't find traces of either on your backend.
So please provide the access to the super admin options so that we can do further tests and a FTP access so that we can debug if necessary.

Will do Nicolas...soon as the user option issue with Joomla 3.7.2 is resolved, otherwise giving you access still won't let you see anything! LOL

I'll send it all over soon as it's fixed. Thank the stars for test sites!

OK, so, with this user menu issue I ran into due to Joomla 3.7.2 update, I cannot give you guys proper access. So, during the attempt to resolve this, I went ahead and deleted the test site and database. I re-uploaded all the files from my live site to the test site, as well as copying over the database (keeping them separate)....and updated ONLY Joomla from 3.6.5 to 3.7.2.

The user menu options is STILL a problem, so I will continue working with Joomla on that to resolve it. BUT...I noticed, this issue I posted here for, not being able to access products...is from the Joomla update! NOT from the HikaShop update as I thought.

This time around, I did NOT update HikaShop to 3.1.0 as I did before. I'm still on the older version...so this issue is caused by Joomla update. Hopefully it will get resolved, otherwise I will be back as soon as the user menus are fixed.
