Hi Hika Shop

Reading the documentation here:

www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...fig.html#description

With respect to Login & Registration…

You can activate/deactivate the login box on the left of the login view of the checkout with that option.
Display method for registration
By default, the login and registration forms display one next to the other.
That's the "All in one page" option.
If you choose the "Selector" mode, you will have on the left of the view a radio for each element (login, registration, guest checkout) that you activated and the element selected will display on the right side of the screen.

Does this only apply to the standard Joomla Login and registration?

What happens if I am using Easy Social for Login and registration as here:

www.finalbug.net/login-here

a) I am guessing then that I will need to switch this functionality off as it will simply not be valid for my site?

Assuming that (a) is correct then with respect to this here:

b)

Allow registration after guest checkout
When that option is turned on, if the customer placed an order as a guest, the order notification emails will contain a registration link in order to register on the website.
This option is only available in the Essential and Business editions and it requires the guest checkout to be activated in the "Registration" option above.

Where do I set this up?

thanks

Paul

Hi,

0. This only apply to the checkout of HikaShop. It won't change anything for the Joomla login and registration system. That's why it's in the "checkout" tab of the HikaShop configuration.

a. No. You can keep it activated. Whether someone registered through HikaShop or Joomla or EasySocial, they will be standard Joomla users with a Joomla user account. And they will be able to login with it on either the Joomla login forms or the login form on the HikaShop checkout.

b. The options you're talking about are located at the bottom of the "checkout" tab of the HikaShop configuration page.

I think I will look into leaving it switched off first. And look into selling to none registered users and get them to register via ES if necessary after purchase! The last thing I want is to have a cocktail of Joomla and Easy Social Users!

thanks

all the same
