Custom Fields using restrictions cannot be selected in the filter

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.1.1. business
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.5
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.16
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : mozilla latest version


Hi,

we have bicycle and motor bikes in the shop. Therefore I use the category restriction for some of the custom fields. The problem is now that the custom using the restrictions cannot be selected in the filter module.

We would need more details on how you configured a custom field and the corresponding filter (with screenshots of their settings) and precise instructions to reproduce the issue on the website so that we can better understand the situation to be able to help you.

Hi,

You first need to save once that filter with that same category selected in the "category" field of the filter.
Then, the custom field selector will display both the custom fields without any category restriction and the custom fields with a category restriction corresponding to the category selected in that filter.

Hi Nicolas,

thanks that works. Now I can select the custom fileds. But the problem is now that these fields will not be visibile even if I am in the right categories.

Any Idea

Hi,

The filters will only display on the page if:
- you have configured a HikaShop filter module to display in a position of that page with the filters selected in its settings via the Joomla modules manager
- you have the "filters" display setting activated under the "products options" tab of your menu item via the Joomla menu manager. In that case, the filters will display at the top of the listing.

thanks. Both prerequisites were fulfilled. The problem was that I forgot to add the new filters to the field ‘Filters’ in the Search Module.
