-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Business: 3.1.1
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla! 3.7.5
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.23

Hello,

I've just made some updates, including for Hikashop from 3.1.1 to 3.2.0 following the links/options provided in the Joomla Backend update warnings.
However now Hikashop reports I have 3.1.1 installed but does not show the option to update neither as a warning on control panel , nor in Hikashop nor in Extensions>Manage>Update .
I tried checking the date in some files (using FTP) but only found files from 10 Jun 2017 (probably from my previous June update to 3.1.1) or before - note that (it was not and exaustive search.

What can I do, how can I check and make sure I'm running the latest version?

I want to upgrade before going about changing product codes in the shop (need this to match producer codes). I notice that if i change in the main product it updates the variants (e.g. update OLDCODE to NEWCODE variants are updated from OLDCODE_xxx to NEWCODE_xxx ). This is great but in the end I'll also need to update the xxx part in each variant (and I have a lot of them..). In the end it might be easier for me to do this directly in the database, i.e. making a query to change all products and variant codes acording to some rules or file. I have looked in the database and at first glance it seems safe (if done carefully of course). Do you confirm I can do it (I won't mess with product IDs).

Many thanks

I've just checked components/com_hikashop/hikashop.php by downloading the file from my site server an the file 7th line is " * @version 3.1.1" the same holds for "administrator/components/com_hikashop" so i think no update was made.
How should i force the update now and make sure joomla backend shows correct information afterwards.

PS: In the end this updates were just a prelude to the hikashop product code updates i need to make, So i still aprecciate some suport on that (see 1st post)

Many thanks

Hi,

1. It's probably a folder permission issue preventing joomla from updating the HikaShop files.
Rename the administrator/components/com_hikashop/ and the components/com_hikashop/ folders and install the install package of HikaShop 3.2.0 and that will force the update.

2. If you do it properly in the database it should be ok.

Thanks Nicolas, I've done as you told regarding install / update and it worked perfect.

About the product codes, I'm still to do it (and aware that we must be carefull) but thanks for confirming we should be OK )I had locked into the database and though as much but was afraid of some hidden connections (in the DB or through programing) that i might not have found.

Keep up the good work :)

Many thnaks
