-- HikaShop version -- : 3.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.5
-- PHP version -- : 7.1

I try to get the next one done.
I want to use filters. However, after filtering you have to indicate a link to a page that shows the results. I can live with that.
Only when you switch off the filter on that result page are you at product level (the default display setting of the result page).

Is it not possible to filter in the shop page and show the results directly in this page, not via a redirect link?

Regards René

Hi,

It is. Turn off the "force redirect" setting and you'll stay on the same page.

Hi Jerome,

If I do that, the filtering simply does not work. That may have something to do with setting, but I can not get it working.

When I set a filter, the result is 0. While I am redirecting to a product listing page, I see the filter results.

Hi,

Then it just means that among the products that were being displayed on the listing before selecting the filter, no product matched with what you selected in the filter.

Hi Jerome,

What I try to achieve is the following.

The shop front page shows all categories of the shop.
There are also filters on that page. When I click on a filter, I would like to see the result of that filter action on the fourth page.
If you reset the filters, all categories must be visible again.

Should be possible I assume?

Hello,

several points :
- Provided references doesn't work...
- I have a quick look on website, I don't understand how do you process to have this kind of module filter... It seems that this kind of display
and process isn't only from HikaShop.

=> First I suggest to create a classic filter module with HikaShop and then when everything works well, use display plugin to dress it.
Can you provide all configuration page screenshot you use for create this filter.

Awaiting news from you.
Regards

Hi Philip,

I'm using the filter module from HS. I found out that a filter module can only work within the product page itself. It's not working in category view.
It make's sense because the filter caracterestics depends on the products itself and his caracterestics. Maybe it's useful to mention this in the FAQ? or documentation?

I'm thinking about to use al several filter module's and assign these module's to the right category with advanced module manager (regular labs).

I can also dynamic view in the filter settings but why is this option showing the title position even if the filter option itself isn't shown?

If this title isn't shown when there are no filter option available this would be perfect.

Regards René

Hi,

Thank you for the information.
So to answer your problematic:
It's not possible to have the system return to the categories listing when you clear the filters.
And yes, you should have the "force redirect" setting activated in your case.
The filters can work on the categories listing, but in your case, you would have to have the "sub element fitler" setting of the "products options" tab of your menu item to "all sub elements" and you would see all the products below the listing of the categories, and when you would use the filter, you would see the results below the listing of categories, so it's not really practical in your case.
