Hi I notice I have 3 URLs of the same product
Here is an example;
www.brillbird.com.hr/component/hikashop/...ilni-prah-p-16-smeda
www.brillbird.com.hr/hikashop-menu-for-c...ilni-prah-p-16-smeda
and the last is
www.brillbird.com.hr/shop/brillbird-kate...ilni-prah-p-16-smeda
This last is URL I need to be visible.
What I did wrong?
How can correct this and to have only last URL
www.brillbird.com.hr/shop/brillbird-kate...ilni-prah-p-16-smeda
Thank you

Hi,

Enter the part "/shop/brillbird-kategorije/proizvod/1374-akrilni-prah-p-16-smeda" of the URL you want in the "canonical URL" field of your product (canonical basically means "main"). Then, make sure that the "force canonical URLs on listings" setting of the HikaShop configuration is activated and that way this will be the the only URL used on the listings of products to access that product.
(note that the other URLs will still work, but they won't be used, and search engines won't reference them either)

I get what you mean. This component is nearly impossible to optimize for SEO. yeah you grab the canonical URL but for XML sitemaps and auto generating them Good luck! A site map should only use canonical URL's but most tools will make it with all URL's. So even if you make canonical URL's you still have the site map and other issues to deal with ontop of adding the canonical for every product as the auto generating one puts it into the wrong url lol.

For some reason all the item menus are for the brands and they don't even include the categories lol

Hi,

You're wrong. If you set a canonical URL in your products, the canonical URL will also be provided in the sitemap.
We actually have a plugin for the major sitemap extensions for Joomla:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/8...ation-with-xmap.html
It will add the canonical URL of the products / categories if it's filled in.
Plus, even if we were not doing this, when the search engine gets the other URL to the product page in the XML sitemap, it will load that URL and in the meta tags of that page, he will find the canonical URL that you specified in the product and will use it for the referencing and will ignore the one in your sitemap. Thus, it wouldn't impact your SEO even if that were to be the case.

I don't understand what you mean by "all the item menus are for the brands". When you create menu items via the Joomla menu manager, you can select the type. If you select "HikaShop categories listing", you'll get by default a listing of the categories of your shop when accessing that menu item.
