-- HikaShop version -- : 4.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.8
-- PHP version -- : 7.3.14
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

First of all great component.

Hikashop Starter was great and almost did 98% of the job.

I just purchased the full Hikashop Business for a couple of items

1. coupons per product (this was achieved)
2. filter my city based on state (custom field zone) - (not checked, don't know how, please help)
a. I made the city a tax zone subset of state a state zone
b. right now, city is showing all the cities (tax zones) regardless of state selected
3. User points - (don't really know how to setup - don't have Hikaserial) -
a. how to give products a point equivalent?
b. how to use the points as payment?
c. how user can view his/her points?

All plugins are activated.

Also, reCaptcha v2 plugin is conflicting with built-in Joomla reCaptcha generating an error "unauthorized bot", had to override the User Registration to use Hikashop Registration. This did not happen when it was still Hikashop starter, only when I upgraded to Hikashop Business

BTW, please update documentation images, it was slightly difficult with the latest version looking totally different from previous iterations.

Thanks.

Hi,

2. There is no mechanism to do that. The zone "filtering" is only done between the address_country and the address_state fields.
So doing it between the address_state selected and the address_city fields is not possible. The only alternative would be to create your states as country zones and your city zones as state zones (while disabling the ones already there by default) and renaming the address_country field to "state" and the address_state field to "city" and disabling the "address_city" custom field.
Note however that you might have issues with payment plugin or shipping plugins using the information in these fields if you do so, so I don't recommand changing that.

3. I would first recommend that you read and try to follow the documentation on the user points here:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/257-using-points.html
If you have further questions on that we can discuss more precise questions on the setup of the user points.

4. Yes you can't have both recaptcha plugins at the same time on the same forms, be it with the Starter edition or the Business edition.

5. We do update our documentation but it's a big task. If you find a particular page not up to date, don't hesitate to point it out and we'll do it in priority.

Hi, Nicolas, thank you for your quick reply.

For #2, I was playing around with it yesterday, and I did see that what you said was true. Since I don't service international addresses, I am looking into doing what you recommended, not the most ideal but it might work. My goal really is to control the shipping cost by the appropriate zones.

As I saw a couple of request for it, hopefully, you can put it in your to-do list as I saw that the system is capable of a multi-layer zone except it stopped at state level, maybe adding additional 'types' like city, district, suburb, block, street and make it accessible as part of the shipping and payment zone, make it part of the Essential/Business edition, I already have one :) :) . This will help us figure out delivery costs based on "distance" without really doing any actual geotagging.

This is very important for us to figure out as we are using a delivery service that charges by the kilometer to destination beyond a minimum of 2km. I know you have limits for postal code, but unfortunately, our codes are not necessarily sequential, and you can't put a list of zip codes in the limits portion of the shipping.

For #3 I did look into that page, but to be honest, I got more confused, because I did not purchase HikaSerial and don't really know if I needed it or not. I did create that custom field 'user_points' but I don't know what to do next. I saw the user points plugin which took me a while to find because I couldn't find any documentation about plugins and the user_points plugin. Like I said, I have added the custom field and tried the plugin, I still don't know if it's working as I don't know where to check if it is working and how the customer will know how much points they have earned?

For #4 Figured that one out. Thanks

#5 (added) I added some new badges (right size n x 13pixels) for payment/shipping in /media/com_hikashop/images/shipping and /media/com_hikashop/images/payment but they don't appear in the dropdown list of badges. How can I make it appear as part of badges.

Except for the shipping portion which I am still figuring out, I am almost done.

Hi,

2. If you need to have shipping fees based on the distance, I would recommend you to use that plugin which is made especially for that: www.hikashop.com/marketplace/product/250...shipping-plugin.html
Adding more steps to the filtering mechanism like on the city is not easy. First the filtering mechanism was made only for states and countries, and second the zones system isn't made for cities. It's not impossible to do, but that's many days of development for something almost no one use. I would rather work on more demanded features, like a POS system for HikaShop, a reservation system, or the support of Joomla 4. So frankly, I don't see what you're talking about being added any time soon.

3. No you don't need HikaSerial. It's just that HikaSerial has some integration with the points system so that you can "consume" a code generated by HikaSerial after a purchase to get points (so that you can sell vounchers for your store on your store).
After the custom field is created, you need to go in the menu System>Plugins and create a new instance of the user points plugin to configure the gain of points, and go in the menu System>Payment methods and create a new instance of the payment user points plugin to configure the use of points for payments. And then you need to add the "user points" view in your "checkout workflow" in the HikaShop configuration for the display of the interface on the checkout. That's basically it.

5. You mean the images of shipping and payment methods ? They will appear automatically in the dropdown if they are normal images.
Could you provide a screenshot of that folder from your FTP client or something like that ?

Hi,

I don't see why that wouldn't work.

Could you provide a backend access and a link to this thread so that we can check the situation on your website ?
